    摘要: A method for operating an air jet spinning machine having at least one spinning unit with one spinning nozzle for producing a yarn is provided. During the operation of the spinning unit, the spinning nozzle feeds a fiber composite through an inlet in a predefined transport direction. The fiber composite within a vortex chamber of the spinning nozzle receives a twist with the assistance of a vortex air flow, such that a yarn is formed from the fiber composite. With the assistance of at least one sensor system, the yarn leaving the outlet is monitored with regard to defined yarn flaws. The production of yarn is interrupted upon the detection of a corresponding yarn flaw. Between the detection of the specified yarn flaw and the interruption of the yarn production, a cleaning process is carried out during which an additive is fed to the spinning unit and is applied to the fiber composite and/or the yarn produced from the fiber composite and/or on parts of the spinning nozzle.

The invention proposes that the spinning station (1) has an information unit (7) with the aid of which it is possible to display to an operator of the spinning station (1) how much yarn (3) has to be at least unwound from the package (16) located in the winding apparatus (20) following the interruption to the yarn production in order to ensure that the yarn section having the yarn defect has been completely removed from the package (16). Furthermore, a yarn clearer and a method for operating a spinning station are proposed.

The control arrangement changes the measuring signal into an actual control signal as a function of operational conditions to compensate for influences derived from the operational conditions and affecting measuring results.     摘要: In a textile fiber preparation machine, thickness and/or unevenness characteristics of a lap (W) formed by a web or wadding of textile fibers being fed in the machine are determined for individual longitudinal strips spaced across the width of the lap. A plurality of individual sensors (2) are arranged next to one another over the width of the lap (W) and press the lap (W) against a stationary guide (4,5, 6--6'). Each of the sensors (2) is movable toward and away from the guide and is resiliently biased toward the guide. The amount of movement of an individual sensor (2) away from the guide by the lap is a measure of the thickness of the lap portion being contacted by that sensor. The use of individual sensors arranged end to end across the width of the lap improves sensitivity so that even brief changes in thickness when the lap has a high transport speed can be measured reliably. Furthermore, the apparatus can be adapted quickly and simply to changing lap widths.

    摘要: An arrangement for continuously determining the density of an elongated strip-shaped web of fiber sliver in the course of a spinning process in order to generate control signals for use in controlling the operation of machine elements operative for equalizing the distribution of the fiber sliver includes two of stepped rollers which together delimit, at a their nip region, a confining space for the passage of the fiber sliver web therethrough. One of the rollers is mounted on a support for rotation about a stationary axis and is driven in rotation, while the other roller is mounted on the support for free rotation about another axis which is parallel to the stationary axis and defines an imaginary plane therewith, as well as for movement along the imaginary plane against a spring force away from the one roller, so that the fiber sliver is compressed and moves the other roller to a greater or lesser degree away from the one roller as it passes through the confining space, depending on its density. A contactless proximity sensing element is arranged along the imaginary plane and has a sensing surface which faces a portion of the peripheral surface of the other roller so as to detect the extent of displacement of the other roller relative to the one roller and issue an electric signal representative of the detected value.
