摘要： Device for forming and sewing folds is provided in which one double fold DF and a plurality of single folds SF, located at spaced locations therefrom, are formed simultaneously on a cut, and the folds are also to be laid out flat with the folding tools.Three pairs of strips are provided as the holders for the folding tools, and the first of these pairs has two hinge-connected strips 86 and 87, which can be moved between the extended position and a buckled position. The strips of the second and third pairs can be moved in opposite directions and in opposite directions to the strips of the respective other pair, wherein the strips 88/89 and 90/91 of the second and third pairs of strips carry at least one folding knife. The first pair of strips carries the corresponding holders 112. The relative position of the first pair of strips 86/87 relative to the other two pairs of strips 88/89 and 90/91 is variable. The device is intended for producing workpieces with a plurality of folds of varying shapes, e.g., the back part of blouses and shirts.

摘要： In a pin-tucking device for forming a plurality of pleats-like folds on a fabric, guide-plate mounting plates have comb-like kerfs for engaging and disengaging hook portions of guide plates so that guide plates may be varied in number to change the intervals of the pleats-like folds in various different ways. Frame shaped based plates permit easy removal of fabric jamming or the like trouble without the necessity of the base plates being put out of assembly. The guide-plate mounting plates are mounted to the base plates by fixing plates. The device is easy to manufacture and economical.

摘要： A panel of fabric is guided from a spool to a gathering device. The gathering device includes a spindle located above and across the width of the panel of fabric and having a plurality of spaced apart wheels attached thereto. Extending radially from the wheels are a plurality of flexible mechanical fingers, or alternately, flexible bristles. As the wheels rotate the flexible projections gather the fabric into folds. A panel of backing material is guided to underlay the gathered fabric. The gathered fabric is then adhered to the backing material. A means for conveying the fabric and backing material is also provided.

摘要： An apparatus for forming triple type of tucks in a curtain cloth is disclosed. The apparatus comprises on a base frame a first sewing machine with a first presser, a second sewing machine with a second presser, a movable base plate arranged for movement in the transverse direction of the cloth, and a stationary base plate arranged adjacent the second sewing machine. Further, a pair of upper and lower keep plates, a pair of upper and lower expansion spatulas, and a width setting spatula are mounted on the movable base plate for movement in the lengthwise direction of the cloth, and extend therefrom over a face plate. A double tucking plate with two sheet metals extends from the stationary base plate over the face plate.A portion of the cloth to be tucked is applied with its center line to an edge of the width setting spatula and the cloth is folded back with its upper and lower portions around the spatula and then passed outside the upper and lower expansion spatulas and between the upper and lower keep plates. While the upper and lower pressers with the cloth held there-between are moved transversely of the cloth, the cloth is stitched by the first sewing machine.Then, the width setting spatula and the upper and lower expansion spatulas are moved with the cloth held thereon lengthwise of the cloth toward the second sewing machine to insert the width setting spatula between the two sheet metals of the double tucking plate and arrange the upper expansion spatula and the lower expansion spatula over the upper sheet metal and under the lower sheet metal of the double tucking plate, respectively, so that triple type of tucks are formed in the cloth. These tucked portions are stitched by the second sewing machine.

摘要： A ruffler attachment for a sewing machine, the operation of which is synchronized with the main sewing machine driving mechanisms, and facilitates adjustment of the size of the ruffle, and the number of ruffles to be formed, is provided. The ruffler attachment is characterized by a stiffener blade disposed to permit a body material to be introduced thereunder into the sewing displacement position of the needle to effect sewing of the body material. A feeder is provided for feeding and guiding a trim material to be ruffled into contact with the stiffener blade. A ruffler blade is coordinately displaceable from a first position wherein the ruffler blade is in contact with the stiffener blade to a ruffle forming position proximate the needle sewing position. The ruffler blade effects a sandwiching of the trim material between the ruffler blade and stiffener blade at the first contact position of the ruffler blade and folds a portion of the trim material between the first contact position of the ruffler blade and the sewing position of the needle under the remaining portion of the trim material between the first contact position and the sewing position of the needle.
