摘要: A modular floating platform connector includes a connecting unit with a hollow center chamber that has one or more inside diameters. The chamber may have wall surfaces to secure components to modular floating platforms. The connector may further incorporate one or more external features such as a collar and retaining ribs that engage with the connecting tabs on modular floating platform float modules to securely hold the float modules together and to retain attachment members of accessories, fixtures, structures and other components to modular floating platforms.

摘要: A pile guide construct for floating docks. An elongated and vertical sleeve is positioned over a pile that is driven into the earth. A guide is positioned over the elongated and vertically positioned sleeve. A limiting cap is positioned an upper end of the sleeve that acts as a stop to prevent the guide from exceeding a vertical height that is greater than the height of the pile. Forming the sleeve and guide of thermoplastic, such as high density polyethylene, provides a sleeve and guide that are both durable and corrosion resistant, while also providing a construct having a low coefficient of friction that facilitates vertical movement of the guide relative to the sleeve and the pile. A collar mounted to the sleeve and spaced apart from the limiting cap may also be provided to provide a lower limit of travel of the dock relative to the pile.

摘要: A floating dam or island is provided by pre-fabricating modular hollow bodies. A first group of modular bodies is laid floating on a water surface, positioning the modular bodies in mutual side-to-side arrangement so as to delimit therebetween intermediate gaps within which the reinforcing rods are protruding. A first concrete casting is performed into the gaps and over the modular bodies so as to render them mutually joined. A second group of modular bodies is then laid over the first group and a second concrete casting is performed in order to join the first and second group together. Additional groups of modular bodies are laid and further concrete castings are performed up to obtaining a monolithic block having a desired floating dam or island configuration.

摘要: A flexible dock connector for connection between two floating dock structures. In example forms, the flexible dock connector includes a first eye bolt, a second eye bolt, a dampening material and a pair of plates. The first and second eye bolts include an eye portion and a bolt portion extending from the eye portion. The eye portions of the first and second eye bolts are coupled together, and the dampening material substantially covers the eye portions of the first and second eye bolts. The pair of plates each include a central opening for receiving the bolt portions of the first and second eye bolts, respectively, and wherein the dampening material is generally sandwiched between the pair of plates.

摘要: A floating module includes an upper half and a lower half. The upper half includes one edge from which a flange extends downwardly, while the lower half includes an opposite edge that includes an upwardly facing flange. Modules can be interconnected to one another by engaging the upper flange from one with the lower flange from another. A cavity and channels are formed in the lower surface of the module such that water will become entrapped in the cavity and channels when the platform is placed in water. Through use of one way check valves positioned in fluid communication with the cavity and channels, a hydro-lock is formed that prevents the water from escaping the cavity and channels while it is placed in water.

摘要: Floats having a buoyant portion and a chamber portion hold liquid within their chambers above the interface of the surrounding body of liquid and gas which creates a downward force which stabilizes the float. If the liquid is water, the float holds water in the inner chamber which is disposed above the waterline of the body of water in which the float is suspended. The elevated water exerts a downward force that acts against rocking, swaying, and other destabilizing forces.

摘要: Aspects of the present disclosure are directed to a dock protector apparatus. The apparatus includes an elongated pipe and a flange. A floating dock includes at least one floating dock section coupled to mooring pipes secured to a river or lake bed. The mooring pipes are slidably coupled and to the dock section by pipe sleeve assemblies that enable the dock section to slide vertically along the mooring posts. A dock protector apparatus is inserted within an interior cavity of each mooring pipe. Under tidal surge conditions, the decking may reach a vertical position above a top end of the mooring posts. In order to present the deck section from becoming decoupled from the mooring posts, the dock protector apparatus extends upwardly and remains coupled to both the mooring posts and the dock section, thereby maintaining an essentially laterally-rigid mooring between the dock section and the mooring post.

摘要: A dampening piling guide comprising a first frame, a second frame, and resilient member interposed thereinbetween. The first frame has at least one continuous first surface on a horizontal plane and is constructed and arranged for attachment about a piling. At least two roller brackets are positioned about the first frame's first surface. Each roller bracket includes a roller, and the roller has an axis of rotation substantially perpendicular to the centerline of a pile. The rollers are also translatable along a piling. The second frame has at least one continuous second surface on a horizontal plane and is constructed and arranged for attachment about a piling. A plurality of resilient members are connected to the first frame first surface and the second frame second surface, whereby the resilient members dampen forces acting on the dampening piling guide.
