摘要: An apparatus and a method for inhibiting metal dusting corrosion of a tubesheet inside a shell-and-tube heat exchanger having at least one exit nozzle for transmitting at least one process fluid from the shell-and-tube heat exchanger include and use: an isolation baffle disposed inside the shell-and-tube heat exchanger at a location between a first exit nozzle and the tubesheet, whereby an isolated space exists between the tubesheet and the isolation baffle; and a means for purging the isolated space with a purging fluid.

摘要: An apparatus for positioning and cushioning the shaft of a fan motor. The apparatus is mounted within a shaft tube of the motor, which also receives the rotor shaft. The apparatus generally comprises a central portion, a peripheral portion and a connecting portion. When the apparatus mounted within the shaft tube of the motor, the outer edge of the peripheral portion fits tightly against the inner wall of the shaft. The connecting portion connects the central portion to the peripheral portion, and includes a plurality of connecting pieces projecting radially outward from the central portion to the peripheral portion, thereby providing elastic effects to the apparatus for cushioning the rotor shaft, which is loaded on the central portion. In an alternate embodiment, the apparatus further comprises a plurality of hooks that are adapted to engage an annular groove on the rotor shaft, thereby locking the shaft in place within the shaft tube.

摘要: A radiator includes a core portion, a header tank, a side plate attached to the core portion and a bracket through which the radiator is mounted to a vehicle. The bracket is separately formed from the header tank, and is connected to the side plate through a bolt. As a result, the radiator is readily mounted to a vehicle of a different model by only changing an attachment position of the bracket to the radiator, without modifying the header tank. Further, the bracket includes a coolant receiving portion disposed to face a drain outlet of the header tank with a predetermined gap therebetween. Therefore, coolant discharged from the header tank collides with the coolant receiving portion to reduce its dynamic pressure. As a result, coolant drained from the radiator is restricted from being scattered.
