摘要： A mechanism for achieving a precisely-timed intermittent operation includes an oscillating drive having continuously repeating oscillating cycles during which an output member of the oscillating drive oscillates back and forth between opposed dead center positions. A driven structure which has an input portion is provided for producing a predetermined intermittent operation. A motion-transmitting member has an operating position situated in the path of movement of the output member of the oscillating drive to be moved thereby, the input portion of the driven structure being situated in the path along which the motion-transmitting member is moved by the output member so that when the latter is in its operating positon a drive is transmitted from the output member through the motion-transmitting member to the driven structure to operate the latter. This motion-transmitting member has a retracted, rest position beyond the path of movement of the output member. A magnetic control is operatively connected with the motion-transmitting member for displacing the latter between its operating and rest positions, this magnetic control preferably displacing the motion-transmitting member to its operating position when the magnetic control is energized.

摘要： A hand punching apparatus for translating information into a punched tape, comprising a base plate, a shaft secured to the base plate and carrying a plurality of coding disks stacked one above the other and each having information carrying notches and teeth cut along a peripheral portion thereof and a fine teeth segment along an opposite peripheral portion thereof to cooperate with a stop to fix a tooth in aligned position with a punch member, a lever attached to each coding disk for rotating each disk individually about the shaft when the stop is rendered inoperative, a plurality of punch members arranged in a matrix form and each line cooperating with the teeth of a disk so that a single disk will affect punching one line of holes in the tape, while a punching member extending into one of the notches will thereby be prevented from causing a perforation.

摘要： A recording tape punch comprises a housing incorporating a rotatable die wheel and a row of punches selectively operable by engagement with the die wheel periphery when the die wheel is displaced. The die wheel periphery is provided with apertures or dogs arranged in lines transversely of the wheel, the apertures or dogs in each line being arranged in the form of a code which is identified by an indicator wheel rotatable with the die wheel so that the punches in the row which are operated when any individual line is in register with the punches pierce the tape in accordance with a code shown by the indicator wheel. The die wheel is displaced by an operating handle which serves to advance a tape feed during its return movement.

摘要： An apparatus for punching of symbols into template material with a punching tool. The punching tool has punching pins selectable by corresponding selector means. An operating mechanism, after selection of the punching pins by the corresponding selector means presses the punching pins through the template material in a grid arrangement characteristic of each symbol to be punched into the template material. The punching tool has several parallel rows of punching pins, of different punch sizes for punching of symbols in different sizes of lettering and/or types of lettering. The selector means selects and operates the punching pins of only one punching row, in any desired combination for punching of symbols according to a straight-line dot grid.
