摘要: Systems and methods for optimizing traffic flow through an intersection are disclosed. In an embodiment, the method includes receiving positional data indicating a current location of a first vehicle intending to pass through the intersection, receiving directional data indicating an intended direction of the first vehicle through the intersection from the current location, determining, based on the positional data and the directional data, whether an intended path of the first vehicle through the intersection interferes with an alternative path through the intersection, and adjusting a traffic signal at the intersection to decrease an amount of time to pass through the intersection via the alternative path.

摘要: Traffic signals that adapt to traffic conditions are provided with countdown timers. These countdown timers count down from some number towards zero, and indicate the approximate duration remaining before a traffic signal changes state. Since the traffic signal is continuously adapting to traffic conditions, the exact time before a state change occurs is not known in advance. Using a countdown algorithm, the countdown timers imperceptibly modify the countdown sequence in real time so that the traffic signal state change coincides approximately with the moment the countdown reaches its minimum count.

摘要: Embodiments of the present disclosure can provide a road traffic analysis method and an apparatus. The method can comprise obtaining a traffic parameter of a road intersection by analyzing road traffic information of the road intersection, determining a reference adjustment length for each phase of a traffic signal cycle corresponding to each lane of the road intersection based on the road traffic information and the traffic parameter. The traffic signal cycle has one or more phases. The method can also comprise determining a first adjustment length when a difference between the reference adjustment length and the first adjustment length satisfies a condition associated with the lanes of the road intersection and the corresponding traffic parameter, and adjusting the phases of the traffic light cycle at the road intersection based on the first adjustment length for each phase.

摘要: Several implementations of an access point, an application server, and instances of an application operating upon a cell phone are disclosed. These implementations support the cell phone and its application traveling on a vehicle, which wirelessly communicates through a wireless router, such as a Bluetooth router with an access point situated in a cabinet to direct a traffic controller driving a traffic light. The wireless router responds to a cell phone initiated by the app, by reporting the location and speed of the vehicle, often further including the vehicle type, such as a bicycle or heavy truck. The traffic controller may lengthen a green light in response to a heavy truck, to reduce wear on roadways. The access point may respond to a bicycle, by confirming its presence to the bicycle driver as well as adjust the traffic controller.

摘要: Various embodiments are described herein for systems and methods of traffic management in a road network including pathways and at least one intersection. In at least one embodiment, the method comprises receiving data signals from corresponding one or more connected vehicles and generating an intersection model for each approach of each intersection at a first time, where the intersection model comprises estimated arrival times for incoming vehicles at each approach. The method further comprises generating at the first time, for each intersection, candidate traffic timing data signals based at least on the intersection model corresponding to all approaches at the intersection, and generating, at the first time, for each intersection, an optimized traffic timing data signal, which is configured to control the operation of one or more traffic signals at the intersection, and is generated based on the candidate traffic timing data signals and a predetermined optimization variable.

摘要: A self-learning cycle timer is disclosed. A wait time is measured between a first indication, associated with a stop, and a second indication, associated with movement following the stop, each indication received from a smart device. A geolocation is received from the smart device and a traffic signal identified at the geolocation. The traffic signal's area of influence is determined. The wait time is determined to have occurred inside the area of influence. An average cycle time and a reference time associated with the traffic signal are retrieved from a database. A cycle time associated with the traffic signal is calculated according to the wait time and the reference time. The average cycle time is updated according to the calculated cycle time.
