    摘要: Methods, apparatus, systems, and computer-readable media are provided for tracking amounts of wires provided to a winding head during a winding operation of a wire distribution system. The wires can be tracked using one or more wire tracking devices that can be disposed at one or more locations within the wire distribution system. The wire tracking devices can provide information related to the amounts of wires and the types of wires being used to wind about a winding head/form. The information can be used to check for errors during a winding operation and indicate the progress of the winding operation. The information can also be used to update wire-availability data to reflect the amount of wire that has been provided during the winding operation.

    摘要: A dual mode coil hitching device used in the coil winding process is disclosed. The device operates in either a clamping or a tie-off mode. The device includes a sleeve and an actuated plunger. The sleeve has a first and second opening. The first opening has a coil scrapping surface adjacent thereto, and the second opening has an upper clamping surface. The plunger has a lower clamping surface opposing the upper clamping surface and a tie-off member disposed thereon. The plunger is slidably mounted within the sleeve and is positionable between a retracted position and an extended position. In the retracted position, the second opening of the sleeve and the lower clamping surface of the plunger define an exposed gap, and the tie-off member is completely positioned within the sleeve. In the extended position, the tie-off member extends outside the sleeve via the first opening, and the lower clamping surface confronts the upper clamping surface.

    摘要: A winding apparatus for a coil component in which wires are wound around a core. The winding apparatus includes a wire position support including wire route holes in which the wires are inserted, a wire feeder that feeds the wires to the wire position support such that tension is applied to the wires, a winding driver that orbitally revolves the wire position support around the core such that the wires are wound around the core while twisted, a rotator that rotates the core, and a controller that controls the winding driver and the rotator. The controller controls a rotation direction of the core with regard to an orbital revolution direction of the wire position support and an orbital revolution speed of the wire position support to prevent generation of a kink of a wire between a wire feeder and the wire position support.

    摘要: A device for braking a traveling wire in order to apply a drag force to the wire is constituted by a pair of juxtaposed brake members between which the wire is passed. Each brake member is constituted by a pad of glass fabric adapted to press against the wire, and each glass fabric pad is adhered to an underlying relatively soft supporting base such as felt. Each brake member is seated in a correspondingly configured recess in a rigid support member, and the two support members are mounted on a support bolt which passes through central openings provided therein and in the brake members. A compression spring adjusted by a nut on the bolt is used to apply an adjustable axial pressure against the two support members urging them towards each other which causes the glass fabric pads to be pressed against the wire.

The controller performs first control, which orbitally revolves the wire position support in a first direction and rotates the core in an opposite second direction opposite, and second control, which orbitally revolves the wire position support in the second direction and rotates the core in the first direction, and switches between the first and second controls based on a predetermined condition, to prevent a kink of a wire between a wire feeder and a wire position support.
