摘要: The disclosure relates to a method for producing a component, in particular a vehicle component or an engine component, such as a piston of an internal combustion engine. The method comprises forming a first body region, in particular by means of casting or forging. The method includes forming a second body region, which is connected to the first body region, from an aluminium alloy or an iron-based alloy or a copper-based alloy by means of an additive manufacturing method. The second body region is alloyed in such a manner that it has higher thermal stability, higher mechanical strength or higher wear resistance upon tribological stressing than the first body region.

摘要: A pot-shaped, cold-formed steel brake piston as a pot which is open on one side includes a base and a wall including inner and outer walls, a radially inwardly configured groove is open in a radially outward direction and forms, radially at the inside, a groove bead projection. The open side of the pot ends as a bearing for a friction pad backplate. Interfaces integrated at the inside on the end side serve a) for the fixing between friction pad and steel brake piston and b) as support bearing for spring mounting the friction pad. An aspect is a further improved steel brake piston of the new generation. The minimum inner diameter dimin is axially set back in the direction of the base by a multiple of the length of a wall thickness s, and the minimum piston inner diameter dimin is formed by the groove bead projection.

摘要: A galleryless piston for an internal combustion engine is provided. The piston has a monolithic piston body including an upper wall forming an upper combustion surface with first and second portions. The first portion extends annularly along an outer periphery of the upper wall and the second portion includes a combustion bowl. The first portion can also include valve pockets formed therein to reduce weight. The upper wall has an undercrown surface directly opposite the second portion of the upper combustion surface. To enhance cooling, a center portion of the undercrown surface is concave, such that oil is channeled during reciprocation of the piston from one side to the opposite side of the piston. The concave center portion is axially offset from the surrounding area of the undercrown surface.

摘要: There is provided a method for manufacturing a piston, including: a piston assembling step of forming a piston assembly by assembling a first piston part, a bonding member and a second piston part, wherein the first piston part has two or more bonding surfaces separate from each other and extending in a circumferential direction, and the second piston part has two or more bonding surfaces separate from each other and extending in the circumferential direction; a piston diffusion brazing step of diffusion brazing the first piston part, the bonding member and the second piston part under an open atmosphere by heating the formed piston assembly; and a piston cooling step of cooling a piston unit formed by diffusion brazing the first piston part, the bonding member and the second piston part. The piston diffusion brazing step is performed in a piston manufacturing device which includes a partially opened heating zone, a heater for providing heat into the heating zone, and a moving unit moved in one direction in the heating zone. In the piston diffusion brazing step, the piston assembly is heated while being moved at a predetermined speed through the heating zone in one direction by the moving unit.

The upper wall has an undercrown surface on an underside of the combustion bowl directly opposite the second portion of the upper combustion surface. The undercrown surface has an openly exposed surface area, as viewed looking along the central longitudinal axis, thereby providing an expansive area against which oil being splashed or sprayed can freely contact to cool the piston.
