摘要: A hydrogen boiloff capture system. The hydrogen boiloff capture system having a cryogenic tank for storing liquid hydrogen. The hydrogen boiloff capture system also includes an intermediate tank fluidically coupled with the cryogenic tank. The intermediate tank is configured to receive hydrogen gas boiloff from the cryogenic tank. The intermediate tank is further configured to provide the hydrogen gas boiloff to a lighter-than-air craft to regulate buoyancy of the lighter-than-air craft. The intermediate tank is also configured to provide the hydrogen gas boiloff to a hydrogen fuel cell coupled to the lighter-than-air craft.

摘要: A vehicle including a fuselage, and a fuel tank within the fuselage. The fuel tank includes one or more sealant layers disposed over one or more internal surfaces of the fuel tank. In at least one embodiment, a release agent is disposed between the one or more internal surfaces and the one or more sealant layers.

摘要: Disclosed are systems and methods for maintaining bulk fuel temperatures in an aircraft. In one aspect, a recirculation system causes fuel to be delivered from a relatively low point near the feed hopper of each tank on the aircraft to one or more outboard locations of the wings. Once there, the fuel, due to gravity, flows back over the lower skin of the wing in channels back towards the fuselage, thus cooling the fuel. In other aspects, control systems are disclosed that coordinate the recirculation based on fuel levels in the tanks and fuel temperatures. The control systems also utilize a fuel scavenge system to maintain acceptable temperatures in the tanks.

摘要: An access panel to be received in an access aperture in a lower skin of a wing on an aircraft incorporates a body surrounded by a sealing flange. The body is configured to be received in the access aperture and the sealing flange is configured to be received on a sealing land surrounding the access aperture. An integral heat exchanger extends from a top surface of the body into a fuel tank in the wing to conduct heat from the fuel to an external surface of the access panel.

摘要: A system and method of controlling a fuel system on an aircraft includes selectively supplying fuel from either a main fuel tank or at least one wing fuel tank to a fuel consumer by varying a speed of at least one main fuel tank pump associated with the main fuel tank relative to a speed of at least one wing fuel tank pump associated with the at least one wing fuel tank.

摘要: A fuel containment system for an aircraft is provided. The fuel containment system comprises an upper fuel barrier under a cabin floor, an aft wheel well bulkhead, an aft fuel barrier opposite the aft wheel well bulkhead, a lower fuel barrier associated with a cargo floor, and a lower fuselage skin panel. A fuel tank is created by the upper fuel barrier, the aft wheel well bulkhead, the aft fuel barrier, the lower fuel barrier, and the lower fuselage skin. The fuel tank is integrated into the aircraft and existing structural components are sealed to prevent fuel from leaking out of the integrated fuel tank.
