摘要: A method of monitoring the performance of a multi-phase electric motor (13), wherein the electric motor comprises a plurality of stator windings (7, 8, 9) connected in a wye configuration to form a wye point. The method comprises measuring an electrical characteristic of the wye point in a time domain; based upon the measured electrical characteristic of the wye point in the time domain, determining an electrical characteristic of the wye point in the frequency domain; and deriving data indicative of at least one parameter of the performance of the electric motor based upon the determined electrical characteristic of the wye-point in the frequency domain.

摘要: An integrated circuit includes a first semiconductor well contained in a semiconductor substrate and a second semiconductor well contained in the first semiconductor well. A capacitive element for the integrated circuit includes a first electrode and a second electrode, where the first electrode includes at least one vertical conductive structure filling a trench extending vertically into the first semiconductor well. The vertical conductive structure is electrically isolated from the first semiconductor well by a dielectric envelope covering a base and the sides of the trench. The vertical conductive structure penetrates into the second semiconductor well at least at one longitudinal end of the trench. The second electrode includes the first semiconductor well and the second semiconductor well.

摘要: A microelectronic device includes a PNP transistor and NPN transistor arranged vertically in a P-type doped semiconductor substrate. The PNP and NPN transistors are manufactured by: forming an N+ doped isolating well for the PNP transistor in the semiconductor substrate; forming a P+ doped region in the N+ doped isolating well; epitaxially growing a first semiconductor layer on the semiconductor substrate; forming an N+ doped well for the NPN transistor, where at least part of the N+ doped well extends into the first semiconductor layer; then epitaxially growing a second semiconductor layer on the first semiconductor layer; forming a P doped region forming the collector of the PNP transistor in the second semiconductor layer and in electrical contact with the P+ doped region; and forming an N doped region forming the collector of the NPN transistor in the second semiconductor layer and in electrical contact with the N+ doped well.

摘要: A pile for use in a ground pile system has a tubular body and one or more sensor modules attached to the tubular body. Each of the one of more sensor modules includes a sensor guard that has a perimeter and a sensor nested within the sensor guard. The sensor is recessed within the perimeter of the sensor guard to protect the sensor during installation of the pile. A data acquisition unit can be used to receive data from the one or more sensor modules. The data acquisition unit includes a solar panel array, a battery charged by the solar panel array, a modem powered by the battery, and a computer powered by the battery. The computer is configured to receive signals from the sensors and transmit the signals to a remote operation center through the modem.

摘要: A time-of-flight ranging system disclosed herein includes a receiver asserting a photon received signal in response to detection of light that has reflected off a target and returned to the time-of-flight ranging system. A first latch circuit has first and second data inputs receiving a first pair of differential timing references, the first latch circuit latching data values at its first and second data inputs to first and second data outputs based upon assertion of the photon received signal. A first counter counts latching events of the first latch circuit during which the first data output is asserted, and a second counter counts latching events of the first latch circuit during which the second data output is asserted. Processing circuitry determines distance to the target based upon counted latching events output from the first and second counters.

摘要: A wireless power receiving circuit includes a transistor based rectifier receiving an AC input voltage, and control logic receiving an overvoltage signal. The control logic generates control signals for controlling turn on of transistors within the transistor based rectifier based upon the overvoltage signal so as to cause the transistor based rectifier to produce a rectified output voltage from the AC input voltage. A comparator compares the rectified output voltage to a reference voltage and asserts the overvoltage signal if the rectified output voltage is greater than the reference voltage. In response to assertion of the overvoltage signal, the control logic asserts the control signals to simultaneously turn on all transistors of the transistor based rectifier.
