    摘要： A winged cape for wearing by a person includes a flexible inner web and a flexible outer web, each fixed together with a threaded stitch at a common outline. Each web has a top edge and at least one side edge. Four arm slots are formed through the inner web to define a pair of sleeves that are generally orthogonal to a longitudinal axis of each web. Preferably two or more opposing elastic finger rings are each fixed with the at least one side edge of the inner web on opposing sides of the longitudinal axis of the inner web and proximate to a longitudinal axis of the sleeves. With each arm of the person positioned through one of the sleeves and a finger of each hand of the person inserted through one of the finger rings, the webs form a winged cape worn by the person.

    摘要： A resistance band apparatus for a person to perform resistance exercises includes a pair of rigid resistance band buckles each having a first end and a second end. The first end has a first attachment mechanism and the second end has at least one second attachment mechanism. At least one elastomeric resistance band has two opposing ends, each end adapted for attachment to the second attachment mechanism of one of the resistance band buckles. Multiple resistance bands may be included, some having a unique length and/or elasticity. The resistance bands are interchangeable and selectively fixed with the buckles. The apparatus may further include a proximal strap fixed between a first resistance band buckle and a user interface mechanism such as a handle, and a distal strap fixed between a second opposing resistance band buckle and an object engagement mechanism, such as a door bracket.

    摘要： A laser heated pedestal growth system includes two lasers having output beams that are combined with a beam combiner to produce a single beam. A growth chamber that includes a final focusing mirror for receiving and focusing the single beam of the lasers onto a tip of a feed material to create a molten zone in a focal region. A feed transport mechanism is adapted for transporting a feed material through the growth chamber and into the molten zone. An opposing seed transport mechanism is adapted for withdrawing a seed material from the growth chamber. An imaging system is adapted for capturing an image of the molten zone within the growth chamber. A controller in communication with the feed transport mechanism, the seed transport mechanism, one of the two lasers, and the imagining system is adapted to control and stabilize a fiber growth process by controlling the feed transport mechanism, the seed transport mechanism, and the power of the combined laser beam.

    摘要： A cutting guide system used with a rotary cutting tool to cut a sink drain fitting in a sink includes a cylindrical sink collar having an open lower end with a radially-projecting lower edge. A cylindrical tool engagement collar at an open top end engages the rotary cutting tool, and at an outside surface engages an inner wall of the cylindrical sink collar. A rotary shaft engages a rotary tool chuck at a proximal end and has at a distal end a rotary blade mount for a generally circular rotary blade. With the tool engagement collar fixed with the rotary cutting tool, and with the sink collar fixed with the tool engagement collar, the rotary cutting tool is inserted into the sink drain fitting to cut through the sink drain fitting in a circular path. Spark arresters, a garbage disposable support stand, and a debris-catching bowl are further included.
