摘要: The composite seal structure includes a carrier ring and a seal element housed in an annular groove formed between a circumferential outer wall and two side walls of the carrier ring. The seal element has a first region in surface-to-surface contact with the annular groove and a second, seal-ing region protruding from the annular groove. A fastening arrangement couples the seal element and the carrier ring to one another. The fastening arrangement comprises a plurality of fastening pins circumferentially arranged around the axis of the carrier ring. Also disclosed is a method for manufacturing the seal structure.

摘要: The system comprises a natural gas feed and a natural gas liquefaction facility having a refrigeration circuit comprising: a compressor adapted to compress at least one refrigerant fluid; a driver adapted to drive the compressor; and a heat exchanger adapted to receive a flow of natural gas from the natural gas feed and remove heat therefrom by heat exchange against the refrigerant fluid. A heat pump collects low-temperature thermal energy rejected from the natural gas liquefaction facility and transfers the collected thermal energy to a thermal energy storage system at a higher temperature. The system further comprises a processing facility powered by thermal energy from the thermal energy storage system.

摘要: A direct contact cooler comprises a flue gas stream path extending from a flue gas inlet to a flue gas outlet. The direct contact cooler further includes a first treatment section and a second treatment section disposed along the flue gas stream path. The first treatment section is arranged upstream of the second treatment section with respect to a flue gas stream along the flue gas stream path. The direct contact cooler includes an ammonia-rich wash water inlet and an ammonia-lean wash water outlet. The ammonia-rich wash water inlet is disposed between the first treatment section and the second treatment section and the ammonia-lean wash water outlet is disposed upstream of the first treatment section. Also disclosed herein are an ammonia-based carbon dioxide removal system including a direct contact cooler as defined above and a relevant method for carbon dioxide abatement.

摘要: A two-gas shaft turbine control system (31) is disclosed. The gas turbine control system comprises a fuel controller (35), which receives a speed error signal, indicating whether the low-pressure turbine wheel (11) of the gas turbine (1) is rotating at the desired target speed. The gas turbine control system (31) further comprises an NGV controller (41), which receives a speed error signal, indicating whether the high-pressure turbine wheel (9) of the gas turbine engine (1) is rotating at the desired target speed. Two cross channel controllers are further provided. On the basis of a gas turbine model, a first cross channel controller (43) provides a fuel control modification signal, which is added to a control signal generated by the fuel controller (35). A second cross channel controller (45) provides an NGV control modification signal. The modification signals are aimed at reducing or canceling the effect of mutual interaction between fuel control and NGV control. A two-shaft gas turbine engine system and a method of operation are further disclosed.
