Abstract: A dryer fabric has a weft of cross machine direction yarns (6) and a first warp of first machine direction yarns (5) and a second warp of second machine direction yarns (9). The yarns of the first warp are arranged above the yarns of the second warp on a first surface (FS) side. The first warp has primary yarns (51) of PPS or PK yarns whose breaking load remains substantially stable within 15 days in conditions where RH=100%, T=125° C. and p=2.3 bar; and secondary yarns (52) of PET with breaking loads which substantially decrease under the same conditions. At least every second yarn of the first warp is a secondary yarn (52). The secondary yarns (52) may be two out of three or three out of four of the first machine direction yarns (5). PET reduces cost and adds elasticity to the dryer fabric.

Abstract: A traversable measuring device (15) for determining a cross direction profile of a property of a moving lignocellulose-containing fiber web (2). The measuring device has a property measuring sensor (23) for determining a measurement result representing the property of the web at multiple cross directional measurement positions (P1, P2, P3, P4), a position measuring sensor (24) for determining the cross directional measurement position of the property measuring sensor associating to the respective measurement result, and an analysis device (25) for receiving the measurement results and the respective cross directional measurement positions (P1, P2, P3, P4) and for allocating the measurement results with the respective cross directional measurement positions for forming the cross direction profile of the web property (2). The measuring device has a mounting bracket (16) that is detachably fixable with quick clamping for fastening the measuring device at a measurement site in a fiber web machine (1).

Abstract: An electrostatic precipitator for removing particulates from boiler fine gas is provided. The electrostatic precipitator comprises discharge electrodes and collecting electrodes fitted in a gas passage, the electrodes being arranged in at least two electrical fields that are placed successively in relation to gas flow, and the electrical field establishing at least one electrical unit in transversal direction of said gas passage. The at least one electrical unit has the ability to be de-energised independently, separately from the other electrical units of the electrostatic precipitator. The first electrical field of the at least two electrical fields is also arranged first in the gas flow, and the first electrical field comprises more electrical units than a second field following the first field.

Abstract: The disclosed solution relates to recovering thermal energy from the operation of a dissolver of a chemical recovery boiler used in pulp manufacturing. According to the solution, a primary fluid circuit conveys green liquor from the dissolver to an external process such as causticizing and solvent such as weak white liquor back to the dissolver, and from this circuit solvent is diverted into a secondary fluid passageway comprising a heat exchanger which cools the solvent by recovering heat from it and transfers the heat to a heat-consuming process. After heat recovery, solvent may be used for further processes before it is at least partly conveyed back to the dissolver.

Abstract: This invention relates to a method of controlling the operation of a winder in which method while forming at least one fiber web roll the fiber web is brought on the web roll via a nip formed by a first support drum and the web roll, which first support drum is driven by a first drive assembly (20) applying controllable torque to the drum and the winding force is applied to the web roll by a second drive assembly (22). In the method the second drive assembly (22) is controlled based on the indicative speed difference of the second drive assembly (22) and setting a friction coefficient for determination of maximum winding force.
