摘要: This invention provides processes and systems for converting biomass into high carbon biogenic reagents that are suitable for a variety of commercial applications. Some embodiments employ pyrolysis in the presence of an inert gas to generate hot pyrolyzed solids, condensable vapors, and non-condensable gases, followed by separation of vapors and gases, and cooling of the hot pyrolyzed solids in the presence of the inert gas. Additives may be introduced during processing or combined with the reagent, or both. The biogenic reagent may include at least 70 wt %, 80 wt %, 90 wt %, 95 wt %, or more total carbon on a dry basis. The biogenic reagent may have an energy content of at least 12,000 Btu/lb, 13,000 Btu/lb, 14,000 Btu/lb, or 14,500 Btu/lb on a dry basis. The biogenic reagent may be formed into fine powders, or structural objects. The structural objects may have a structure and/or strength that derive from the feedstock, heat rate, and additives.

摘要: Materials such as biomass (e.g., plant biomass, animal biomass, and municipal waste biomass) and hydrocarbon-containing materials are processed to produce useful products, such as fuels. For example, systems are described that can use feedstock materials, such as cellulosic and/or lignocellulosic materials and/or starchy materials, or oil sands, oil shale, tar sands, bitumen, and coal to produce altered materials such as fuels (e.g., ethanol and/or butanol). The processing includes exposing the materials to an ion beam.

摘要: The invention relates to warming, heating, lighting devices, which represent a source of long-term stand-alone fire that can be utilized for using in fireplaces; in the field, in campings and in rest outside the city, in any touristic or other events. A slow-burning log is made of a solid-fuel material of a vegetable origin, the log having front, rear and side surfaces, through incisions, which are opened at the top of the side surface and which extend from the front surface to the rear one and, when penetrating into the log body, move apart at an angle with respect to each other and terminate in the log body. There are at least two through incisions made, at least two middle recesses, which intersect between each other at the top and intersect longitudinal incisions, are made at the top of the side surface, furthermore, the log has at least two longitudinal incisions at the bottom of the side surface, one of them begins at the bottom of the front surface in the middle section thereof, and another one—at the bottom of the rear surface in the middle section thereof, and which terminate in the log body in the region between the through incisions. At least two through incisions are made completely separated from each other by the log body. The middle recesses begin from the top section of the side surface and couple with the through incisions at a distance from the log center thereby forming a combined air channel with them, the channel having entrances for air on the front and rear surfaces and in the midsection of the side surface of the log. The longitudinal incisions are made vertically or concentrically, one of them extends from the front surface towards the rear one, while another extends from the rear surface towards the front one, and they are not coupled with each other. The log has an ignition agent that is arranged in at least one of the through incisions and/or in at least one middle recess, the log is made with a handle, with a flat surface at the bottom along the entire length. The technical effect lies in increase of the burning time of the device thereby providing uniform burning of the log along the entire length, elimination of breakage of the device into parts during burning with complete combustion of the device and, thus, provision of complete combustion.

摘要: A method of processing waste material including a super absorbent polymer includes: shredding the waste material; applying a salt to the shredded waste material to deactivate the super absorbent polymer; dewatering the waste material following deactivation of the super absorbent polymer; applying a liquid biocide to the shredded waste material. The preferred salt is aluminium sulphate. The step of applying a liquid biocide to the shredded waste is provided after the step of dewatering the waste material in the preferred form.

摘要: During hydrothermal carbonization, the carbonization reaction takes place in a reaction tank, at high pressure and high temperature, and with steam feed. Because reactor charging takes place using a batch method, the biomass should be kept on hand in a pulper beforehand, and heated there. Slurry that leaves the reactor, in contrast, subsequently should be cooled in a buffer tank. For this purpose, cooling of the slurry and pre-heating of the biomass are linked. For this purpose, a heat exchanger in the pulper and a further heat exchanger in the buffer tank, which are connected to form a heat circuit, are supposed to be kept on hand. In this way, the slurry to be cooled can give off its heat to the biomass to be heated up, with the effect that significantly less energy leaves the system and has to be supplied to it again at a different location.

摘要: An inactivation treatment apparatus includes a rotary kiln main body in which coal flows from an end side toward a tip side; a cooling tube arranged rotatably in conjunction with the rotary kiln main body and extends in the direction of the length of the rotary kiln main body, and in which cooling water can flow; and a treatment gas supply tube arranged rotatably in conjunction with the rotary kiln main body, and extends in the direction of the length of the rotary kiln main body, and can supply a treatment gas into the rotary kiln main body. In the apparatus, each of the cooling tube and the treatment gas supply tube is arranged to move past through a coal layer, which is a layer formed as the result of the sedimentation of the coal, in the rotary kiln main body when the rotary kiln main body rotates.
