摘要: This specification discloses an auto-focus apparatus for repetitively effecting focus detection and in-focus judgement and lens driving, and in particular an auto-focus apparatus designed such that in a case where the lens cannot be regarded as being in focus as a result of focus detection, when the deviation from the in-focus point is small, lens driving is effected and in-focus is judged to thereby shorten the time until the judgement of in-focus and when the lens driving when the deviation from the in-focus point is small has not been properly effected, the judgement of in-focus when the deviation from the in-focus point is small is inhibited to thereby enable an accurate in-focus judging operation to be accomplished.

摘要: An apparatus for detecting a focusing state of an objective lens comprises optical means for forming light intensity distributions of object images whose relative positional relationship changes with the focusing state of the objective lens, sensing means having a plurality of sensors for sensing the light intensity distributions to produce first and second signals relating to the light intensity distributions, signal processing means for relatively displacing the first and second signals by determining correlation information and producing a signal for adjusting the focusing state of the objective lens in accordance with the correlation information, and altering means for altering a displacement range within which the first and second signals are relatively displaced.

摘要: A correlation detecting method in which in order to detect the correlation between a pair of electrical signal trains which should effect a correlation operation, the operation is effected while the relative position of the signal trains is shifted and during the operation, the signal levels of at least the opposite ends of each signal train are reduced relative to the signals at a central position of the signal train, thereby mitigating the correlation error attributable to the signals near the ends of the signal trains.

摘要: This specification discloses a focus detecting system in which a plurality of images are formed on the basis of light beams passing through different portions of the pupil of an objective lens and the focus state of the objective lens is detected from the relative positional relation of these images and wherein filters of which the density distribution varies along the direction of arrangement of photoelectric conversion elements are disposed in front of photoelectric conversion element arrays for detecting the distributions of quantity of light of the images, thereby accomplishing shading correction.

摘要: In a camera where the light metering circuit is supplied with electrical power by pushing the shutter release button to a first stroke, an electrical power supply circuit is constructed in such a way that when the time for which the shutter release button remains at the first stroke exceeds the prescribed period of time, the electrical power supply is stopped, and then when the release button is pushed down further to a second stroke, the electrical power supply starts again.
