摘要： A network host device is enabled to initiate providing of network communication configuration information for a network to at least one network-enabled device for establishing a communication session via the network. It is determined when a last communication session is terminated of a last one of the at least one network-enable device. In response to determining when the last communication session is terminated, the network host device is disabled from providing the network communication configuration information. In response to determining when the last communication session is terminated, the network communication configuration information for the network is automatically changed.

摘要： A method and system are described for providing a general request/response protocol using a presence protocol. According to an exemplary embodiment, a method is described for using the presence protocol for receiving from a requesting entity a descriptor of a resource associated with a responding entity and a request related to the resource. The descriptor and the request are sent to the responding entity using the presence protocol. Using the presence protocol, a response is received from the responding entity replying to the request. The response is sent to the requesting entity using the presence protocol.

摘要： Methods, systems, and computer program products for generating application processes by linking applications are provided. According to one method, identifiers for each of first and second applications may be received via a GUI. Further, output data for the first application may be determined from an application descriptor associated with the first application. Input data for the second application may be determined from an application descriptor associated with the second application. The output and input data may be displayed via the GUI. Input indicating linking of the output data for the first application to the input data for the second application may be received via the GUI. A loadable instance to invoke the first application to generate a value for the output data and to invoke the second application with the generated value as the input data may be created.

According to one method, an addressable entity having first source code written in a first programming language is detected. First object code for the addressable program entity is generated. An alias symbol for the addressable entity that represents the addressable entity in a namespace of a second programming language is generated. The alias symbol is associated with the addressable entity for enabling a reference associated with a symbol in a second object code generated from second source code written in the second programming language to be resolved to the addressable entity by matching the symbol in the second object code with the alias symbol.

摘要： A method and system for allowing a user to define and use custom metadata is disclosed. The method and system include providing a network accessible server with a metadata library having plurality of metadata vocabularies. The server allows the user to create a custom metadata vocabulary by displaying a user interface on a client computer in which the user specifies a plurality of properties defining the custom metadata vocabulary. When the custom metadata vocabulary is defined, it is stored in the metadata library for subsequent access. The method and system further allow the user to search the metadata library to select at least one of the metadata vocabularies to apply to an electronic resource.

摘要： A method for executing searches for resources that span more than one private resource repository in a restricted-access resource sharing system is disclosed. The system includes at least one server node and multiple peer nodes connected to a network. Resources, such as data digital images, may be retrieved from the nodes based by issuing queries containing terms matching the metadata associated with the resources. The method includes maintaining storage of resources and associated metadata on respective peer nodes, wherein the associated metadata is based on at least one metadata vocabulary. Each of the peer nodes is allowed to indicate to the server that the metadata vocabularies associated with the resources are designated as private, thereby becoming a restricted access peer node. If a first restricted access peer node specifies to the server which metadata vocabularies the first restricted access peer node supports, a first level of privacy is provided whereby search queries received by the server that use the specified metadata vocabularies are passed to the first respective restricted access peer nodes for processing, while searches that do not use the specified vocabularies are processed by the server. If the first restricted access peer node does not specify to the server which metadata vocabularies the first restricted access peer node supports, a second level of privacy is provided whereby search queries received by the server are passed to the first respective restricted access peer nodes for processing.
