The image processor is coupled to the rotation processor and outputs a processed image according to the temporary image, wherein the image processor has a predetermined image processing width, a width of the input image is larger than the predetermined image processing width, and a width of the temporary image is less than the predetermined image processing width.

Conventionally, a user cannot give an instruction not to include predetermined information such as a date and time or a reception number in a file name of an image file. A method for controlling a document reading apparatus including a reading unit configured to read an image of a document to generate image data includes receiving an instruction not to set predetermined information as a file name of the image data generated by the reading unit, and, in a case where the instruction is received in the receiving, setting a file name not including the predetermined information.

Disclosed is a technique for allowing proper classification information to be provided to an edited image. When it is determined that the editing is cropping, a system controller cuts a decompressed image down to a desired size using an image processor and performs face detection on a crop image. The system controller generates a header for image data of an edited image. When the setting of automatically providing classification information is “ON”, classification information is automatically provided based on the detected face information.

An electronic device and a method of controlling the same are provided. When the electronic device captures a predetermined number of images through a camera in a predetermined location, the captured images are grouped into a group and a title for the group is recommended. Accordingly, a group title is recommended depending on photographing situation when a user continuously captures images, and thus captured images can be managed more efficiently.

The microprocessor 3 determines the layout of the plurality of images on the basis of the panning mode signal 60 recorded to the image recorder 12. The image display controller 13 displays a plurality of images side by side on a liquid crystal monitor 55 on the basis of the determination result of the microprocessor 3.
