摘要： An ink jet head has a substrate on which ejection energy generating elements are provided, and a ceiling plate having a plurality of grooves for forming ink passages. The ceiling plate is pressed against the substrate by a pressing member, i.e., a spring. To improve the ejection performance of the ink jet head, the contact portion of the ceiling plate pressed by the pressing member is divided into a plurality of portions.

摘要： A container for containing printing liquid for supplying to an ink jet head for an ink jet recording apparatus. The container includes first and second chambers, with the first chamber containing negative pressure producing material and having an air vent communicating with ambient air and a supply port for supplying printing liquid to the ink jet head. The second chamber communicates with the first chamber via a communication port and provides a printing liquid reservoir for the first chamber. In an area adjacent a wall extending from the communication port, a capillary force provided by the negative pressure producing material decreases in a direction perpendicular to and towards that wall at least adjacent a part of the communication port which is uppermost when the container is in use.

摘要： A liquid jet head can be detachably fitted into an opening portion of a liquid tank having a liquid absorbing member therein by a liquid receiving member with a liquid path formed therein. The liquid head has a filter, and the peripheral part of the filter is immovably embedded in the foremost end of the liquid receiving member such that the radially outermost end of the filter is not exposed, and the filter is maintained so as to have a dome-shaped contour adapted to come in pressure contact with the liquid absorbing member when the liquid jet head is fitted to the liquid tank by the immovable embedding of the peripheral part of the filter therein. A liquid jet apparatus with a liquid tank has a liquid absorbing member and an opening portion formed thereon, as well as a liquid jet head of this type. A method of immovably securing a filter to a liquid receiving member of a liquid jet head is also described.

摘要： A liquid container for containing printing liquid for supplying to a recording head for an ink jet recording apparatus, the container includes a first chamber containing a negative pressure producing material and having a printing liquid supply port connectable to a recording head for allowing printing liquid to be supplied to the recording head and an air vent for allowing ambient air to enter the container, and a second chamber which provides a printing liquid reservoir for the first chamber and is substantially closed apart from a communication port communicating with the first chamber to allow the printing liquid to flow into the first chamber and to allow air to be introduced into the second chamber from the first chamber. 摘要： A liquid container for a liquid jet recording apparatus comprises a first chamber containing negative pressure producing material and having a liquid outlet connectable to a liquid jet head to supply liquid from the container to the liquid jet head and an air vent for allowing ambient air into the container, wherein the liquid outlet is provided in a bottom portion of the first chamber. A second chamber communicates with the first chamber by a communication path and is substantially hermetically sealed. A wall extends upwardly from the communication path of the first chamber. An ambient air introducing path is provided for between the wall and the negative pressure producing material extending from a point partly up the wall toward the communication path for introducing ambient air into the second chamber.

摘要： A liquid container for a liquid jet recording apparatus includes a first chamber containing negative pressure producing material and having a liquid outlet. At a lower part of the cartridge and contactable to the liquid jet head, the liquid container supplies liquid from the cartridge to the liquid jet head. An air vent allows ambient air into the cartridge. A second chamber communicates with the first chamber by means of a communication part, except for which the second chamber is substantially hermetically sealed. The second chamber is disposed at the lower part of the cartridge and provides a liquid reservoir for the first chamber. Ambient air is introduced through an air path substantially free of negative pressure producing material, having an inlet in the first chamber separated from the air vent by the negative pressure producing material, and an outlet arranged to be lower than the inlet during use of the cartridge to enable air to be supplied to the second chamber through the negative pressure producing material and the air path as liquid is withdrawn from the liquid outlet.
