摘要： A terminal fitting (T) has a rectangular tube (10) with a side plate (13R) and a receiving plate (35) that extends inwardly in a width direction from the front edge of the side plate (13R). A probe (P) can be brought into contact with this receiving plate (35). Thus, a contact area of the probe (P) along the width direction is wider than the thickness of the right side plate (13R). Thus, the probe (P) can be brought securely into contact with the rectangular tube (10) even if displaced along the width direction.

摘要： A female housing (10) has cavities (11) for receiving female terminal fittings (30). A lock (13) is provided in each cavity (11) and is deformed by insertion of the female terminal fitting (30). However the lock (13) is restored resiliently to engage and lock the female terminal fitting (30) in the cavity (11). Maneuverable recesses (24) are provided on the front surface of each lock (13) retracted from the locked terminal fitting (30). A disengagement jig (60) can be engaged with the maneuverable recesses (24) to deflect the lock (13) so that the terminal fitting (30) can be removed from the cavity (11).

摘要： The invention provides a waterproof connector in which a seal is maintained around a bolt without having to increase the number of components. A bolt 39 is passed through a through hole 36 of a bolt attachment member 35, this bolt 39 being passed from a countersunk hole 46 of a grommet 40 attached so as to cover a posterior face of a female housing 30. A nut 26 of a male housing 20 is fastened to this bolt 39, this fastening the two housings 20 and 30 together. A circular sealing member 50 is formed in a manner whereby it adjoins a central hole 47 of a base face 46A of the countersunk hole 46, a shaft 39A of the bolt 39 passing through this sealing member 50 in a manner whereby it fits tightly therewith. The sealing member 50 fits into a housing hole 53 of the bolt attachment member 35. If electric wires are pulled so as to cause a tubular member 45 to change shape, the base face 46A of the countersunk hole 46 may receive a pulling force which causes it to change shape and move outwards relative to the direction of its diameter. However, the adjoining sealing member 50 has been fitted into the housing hole 53, thus preventing the sealing member 50 from changing shape. Consequently, a seal is reliably maintained around the shaft 39A of the bolt 39.

摘要： To improve the sealing function of a waterproof connector provided with a collective rubber stopper. Male terminal fittings 21 at ends of electric wires 20 are pushed through electric wire through holes 33 of a collective rubber stopper 30, widening these electric wire through holes 33 while they are being pushed therethrough, and are inserted into corresponding cavities 16. Inner lips 35 of the rubber stopper 30 fit resiliently with outer circumference faces of the electric wires 20, thereby sealing each cavity 16. A ring-shaped groove 37 is formed concentrically around each electric wire through hole 33 at a posterior face of the rubber stopper 30. Inner portions of these grooves 37 form comparatively thin cylindrical members 38, these fitting tightly with the outer circumference of the electric wires 20. Even in the case where a pulling force is exerted on the electric wires 20 when these have been bent at a right angle to their axial direction, the cylindrical members 38 follow the bending of the electric wires 20, thus maintaining a tight and reliable seal between inner circumference faces of the cylindrical members 38 and the outer circumference faces of the electric wires 20.
