摘要： A magnetic tape cartridge has a cartridge casing, a single reel around which a magnetic tape is wound and which is contained in the cartridge casing for rotation and a leader pin fixed to the leading end portion of the magnetic tape. The leader pin is provided at its opposite ends with engagement portions which are brought into engagement with a tape drawing mechanism of a recording and reproducing system when the magnetic tape cartridge is loaded in the recording and reproducing system. The end face of each engagement portion is provided with a recess at which the tape drawing mechanism chucks the leader pin.

摘要： Disclosed herein is a magnetic tape cartridge in which reliability has been enhanced by preventing a thin insertion-guide portion, provided in an opening for guiding a leader pin, from being deformed due to shock produced by dropping, etc. The magnetic tape cartridge has a cartridge case 4 in which a single reel with magnetic tape 6 wound thereon is rotatably housed. In an opening 10 through which a leader member 5 rigidly attached to the leading end of the magnetic tape 6 is pulled in and out, an insertion-guide portion 21 for guiding an end portion of the leader member 5 is formed by making the case wall surface thin, and a cutout is provided on at least one side of the insertion-guide portion 21 at a position of an edge of the opening 10.

摘要： In the magnetic tape cassette storage case, on the neighboring portions of the connecting portions between the bottom plate (21) and inner walls (22) of a storage part (20), there are disposed ribs (24) in such a manner that they extend into the bottom plate (21) and inner walls (22) and project inwardly of the storage part (20). Due to this structure, between the back surface (11b) of a magnetic tape cassette (11) and the bottom plate (21) of the storage part (20), there can be defined a required clearance (S) capable of storing an information sheet (13) therein. Therefore, the present magnetic tape cassette storage case is capable of storing, together with the magnetic tape cassette, a large quantity of information sheets at a given position and in a given posture as well as with a good operation efficiency.

摘要： In a magnetic tape cassette, a top end portion of a reel urging plate spring for urging a tape reel is subjected to a surface treatment to prevent from a friction. A distance between a couple of flanges of the tape reel is selected to keep a form of the wound magnetic tape, and to prevent the tape running from being disturbed by the increases of a contract resistance of the tape edges to the flanges. Additionally, positioning portions for positioning the magnetic tape cassette relative to a magnetic tape drive device are formed of a differential resin from the resin of the remaining part of the cassette case. Additionally, at least one of both end faces of each guide roller is surface treated so that the end face is not worn through its contact with the cassette half. Further, an information presenting section for displaying variable information is provided at a location other than label areas of the tape cassette.

摘要： A metal plate of a recording tape cartridge which has a tapered portion at an outer circumference thereof. In a state in which the metal plate is attached at a fixed-side mold plate of a metal mold for molding a reel hub and a lower flange, a gap is formed between the tapered portion and the fixed-side mold plate. During molding, molding material flows into the gap. Because of this gap, an annular pawl portion is formed at the reel hub, which annular pawl portion integrally joins the metal plate with the reel hub by sandwiching the metal plate via the tapered portion.

摘要： A single reel with magnetic tape wound thereon is housed in a case. A restraining member, for restricting rotation of the reel by moving toward or away from the reel, is urged in a restraining direction by an urging member. The pushing-up portions of a releasing member are inserted into the through holes bored in the reel gear of the reel 2 so that the lower ends can abut a driving gear. The releasing member moves the restraining member in a releasing direction by moving according to the chucking operation of drive-side rotation drive means. In this manner, reel-rotation restraining means allows rotation of the reel when being used and restricts the rotation when not being used. In this construction, each of the through holes is bored between the tooth edges of the reel gear so that the releasing member can perform a reliable releasing operation.

摘要： A storage case for a magnetic tape cassette comprises a storing portion 12 for storing the magnetic tape cassette, a lid portion 16 having an outer wall 28 surrounding the storing portion, and a hinge portion 14 for connecting the storing portion and the lid portion to be opened and closed, all of which are formed of synthetic resin. At least a pair of pressing ribs 32 are provided inside an outer wall 28 of the lid portion 16 to contact a peripheral edge of a surface of the magnetic tape cassette 10 when the magnetic tape cassette is stored, thereby holding the magnetic tape cassette between the pressing ribs 32 and the storing portion 12. By means of the pressing ribs 32, a gap D for containing the information sheets is defined between the lid portion 16 and the magnetic tape cassette 10. The pressing ribs 32 further include respective holding ribs 34 projectingly formed in a direction of the cassette face for holding paper ends of the information sheets, to thereby contain and hold a large amount of information sheet.
