摘要： In a magnetic tape cassette, a top end portion of a reel urging plate spring for urging a tape reel is subjected to a surface treatment to prevent from a friction. A distance between a couple of flanges of the tape reel is selected to keep a form of the wound magnetic tape, and to prevent the tape running from being disturbed by the increases of a contract resistance of the tape edges to the flanges. Additionally, positioning portions for positioning the magnetic tape cassette relative to a magnetic tape drive device are formed of a differential resin from the resin of the remaining part of the cassette case. Additionally, at least one of both end faces of each guide roller is surface treated so that the end face is not worn through its contact with the cassette half. Further, an information presenting section for displaying variable information is provided at a location other than label areas of the tape cassette.

摘要： A mold apparatus for forming a pair of mutually opposing guide walls respectively disposed and erected on an upper surface of a half-case of a magnetic tape cassette. The mold apparatus is divided into a third mold and a second mold, and the guide walls to be molded form the boundary between the third and second molds. After injecting resin into the mold apparatus in order to mold the guide walls, the second mold of the mold apparatus is firstly removed in the guide wall erected direction. Then, the third mold of the mold is removed in the same direction, while a distance between the formed guide walls is enlarged by elastic deformation resulting from contact between the guide walls and the third mold.

摘要： A recording tape cartridge includes: a reel having a cylindrical hub with a bottom and a reel gear formed therein with recording tape wound therearound; a casing; a brake component; and a releasing component that is provided between the bottom of the hub and the brake component and which has plural legs inserted through plural through-holes formed on the reel gear where, when in use, the plural legs are pressed upwards by a drive gear of a drive device, whereby the releasing component lifts the brake component, releases engagement with the engaging portion and rotates with the reel. The legs are formed into approximate D shapes in plan view whose outer side surfaces facing an inner peripheral surface of the hub are flat surfaces, while the through-holes are formed into approximate D shapes in plan view through which the legs can each be inserted.
