摘要: A camera, adapted to function with film speed data, includes structure for introducing the film speed data and for storing that data. Manually set exposure time data is also stored. A determination is made whether the film is advanced to the first effective film frame. The film speed or exposure time data is alternately indicated and the indication is controlled to indicate the film speed data until the film is advanced to the first effective film frame subsequent to which the indication is switched to indicate the exposure time data when the film is advanced to the first effective film frame. The indication may subsequently be manually switched to indicate the film speed data. The film speed data may be read from the film cartridge upon closure of the back lid of the camera and transferred to storage.

摘要: An exposure display device for a camera, which can display not only the density of the background to be photographed on a film but also the density of a primary object to be focused with respect to an exposure control value used for exposure control operation. In natural light photography, the brightness of the primary object area at which automatic focus detection is conducted and the brightness of divided object field areas are measured, the density distribution of the primary object area and those of the divided object field areas reproduced on the film are calculated basing on the measurement, and the results are displayed in correspondence to the exposure control value. In flash light photography, the expected brightness of the primary object area and divided object field areas are measured, and the density distribution of the primary object area and object field areas reproduced on the film are calculated and displayed in correspondence to the exposure control value.

摘要: An automatic focusing device which comprises a defocus amount detecting unit for detecting a defocus amount attributable to a first optical system of an interchangeable lens assembly and a second optical system of an AF convertor, a converting circuit for converting the defocus amount into a data corresponding to a focusing amount of the second optical system which varies in non-linear relationship to the defocus amount, and an optical drive unit for moving the second optical system on the basis of a data representative of the focusing amount supplied from the converting circuit.

摘要: An electronic flash device, detachably attached to a photographic camera, comprising a circuitry for carrying out preparatory operation for a flash photography, an input section for receiving a first start signal from the photographic camera and for outputting the same, signal outputting means responsive to a manual operation for outputting a second start signal, and power supply hold means connected to the circuitry, the input section and to the operational member. The above power supply hold means includes a power supply start section for starting the power supply to the circuitry by receiving either of the start signals, a power supply stop section for stopping the power supply to the circuitry when a predetermined time period has passed since the power supply start section starts the power supply, a judging section for judging by which start signal the circuitry is started and a changing section for changing the predetermined power supply time period in response to the judged result of the judging section such that the predetermined time period set when the circuitry is started by the first start signal is shorter than the predetermined time period set when the circuitry is started by the second start signal.

摘要: An auto-focusing system includes a focus condition detector which detects the focus condition based on infrared light. A data producer is provided for producing a deflection signal indicating the difference between an image forming distance for infrared light and that for visible light, due to aberration. In accordance with the detected focus condition and deflection signal, an objective lens is shifted to a position for properly focusing an image of visible light on an image forming plane.

摘要: A camera accessory capable of transmitting data to a camera includes a ROM for storing various data at a plurality of addresses, respectively. The data includes a group of data related to the camera accessory and other groups of data which are not related to the camera accessory, but are related to other camera accessories, such that the ROM memorizes all the data of different kinds of camera accessories, and such data are divided into a number of groups, each group related to one kind of camera accessory. The camera accessory further includes a code signal producer which produces a code signal when an accessory is mounted on the camera so as to identify the type of the camera accessory, a receiver for receiving a digital signal from the camera, and a controller responsive to the code signal and the digital signal for controlling the data transmission from the camera accessory to the camera so that only the data of one group related to the particular camera accessory are transmitted to the camera.

摘要: A film transporting device for use in a camera disclosed is so designed as to rewind the film such that no film portion is engaged in film take-up sprocket, resulting in an easy take out of the use film. The device in one form includes a counter that counts up the number of frames during a wind-up operation is carried out after the positioning of a film leader in contact with the take-up sprocket, and during a rewind operation, the counter counts down the same number of frames, or more, to locate the film leader in a disengaged position from the sprocket. The device in another form includes a film perforation detector. In this form, the film rewind operation is carried out until the perforation detector stops detecting the perforation. In a further form, the device includes a mechanical counter which counts up the frames used during wind-up operation, and during rewind operation counts down more than the number counted up to ensure that the film leader portion is withdrawn from the take-up sprocket.

摘要: A camera system having an interchangeable objective lens selectively mountable to at least two different types of camera bodies of a, first type and second type, is involved. The camera system has a ROM located in the interchangeable objective lens for storing a plurality of compensation data: one is suitable for the first type camera body; and the other is suitable for the second type camera body. Each data compensates an error in fully-open aperture light measurement for each type of camera. The compensation data is transmitted from the lens to the camera body. A register is provided in the camera body for storing a selected compensation data which is necessary for the type of camera body mounted with the lens. A device is provided in the camera body for practicing a fully-open aperture light measurement through the interchangeable objective lens to produce a light measuring information including the light measurement error. A calculator is provided in the camera body for calculating a correct exposure information using the compensation data stored in the register and the light measuring signal, whereby the error included in the light measuring signal can be removed.
