Abstract:
In a quantity-of-light adjusting apparatus having an iris and an ND filter which limit incident light, a control method for the quantity-of-light adjusting apparatus, and a computer program product providing a control program for the quantity-of-light adjusting apparatus, a state of limitation of the incident light by the iris is changed at a first changing speed, and, when a state of limitation of the incident light by the ND filter is changed, the state of limitation of the incident light by the iris is changed at a second changing speed different from the first changing speed.
Abstract:
Method and apparatus for capturing a variable length of sensory data in association with still image data. The sensory data are generated from a sensor signal beginning prior to capture of a still image and ending a selected period after capturing the still image. The sensory data are stored in temporary storage. Still image data are generated in response to a control signal to capture a still image, and the still image data are also stored in the temporary storage. A default portion of the sensory data in association with the image data is stored in non-volatile storage. The default portion of sensory data in non-volatile storage is conditionally replaced with a selected subset of the sensory data from the temporary storage if the user selects replacement.
Abstract:
A process for producing an optical disk master, comprises the steps of forming a photoresist layer on a glass master, cutting the photoresist layer by projecting light beam onto the glass master having the photoresist layer thereon to expose the photoresist layer to light, developing the photoresist layer after the cutting step to form a hollow portion corresponding to the light-exposed portion, and carrying out an ion treatment by projecting ions onto the developed photoresist layer to decrease the thickness of the photoresist layer at the developed hollow portion to reach the prescribed depth by the ion-treatment.
Abstract:
A memory module reader has a body having a module socket. The module socket defines a cylindrical contact site and a site axis. A terminal block is joined to the body. The terminal block includes a plurality of leads and a cam unit having at least one cam surface. The cam unit is aligned with and biased toward the contact site. An assembly includes the memory module reader and a memory module removably retained in the module socket. The memory module has a flexible support and a memory element fixed to the support. Abstract:
A camera for partially preexposed, multiple exposure film including a body with an exposure well and a film track across the well. A lens is attached to the camera body at the other end of the exposure well. A mask which includes a plate and a substantially perpendicular flange is positioned at the back of the exposure well adjacent to the film track. The flange extends into the exposure well and is adhered to the wall thereof. The plate includes margins to overlap with the body of the camera about three sides around the exposure well. Another camera includes an asymmetrically arranged exposure well relative to the film track such that the body of the camera about the exposure well extends to cover the preexposed image segment on a multiple exposure film strip.
Abstract:
An apparatus provided with a magnetic head including a core, a writing coil and a reading coil wound around the core; a writing circuit connected with the writing coil for driving the writing coil; a reading circuit connected with the reading coil for generating a read signal based on an output of the reading coil; a power source for supplying an electric power to the writing circuit; and a controller for suspending the supply of electric power to the writing circuit when the reading circuit is in operation.
Abstract:
An apparatus, such as a camera, comprises a detection device which detects an index of a film cartridge, and a control device which performs predetermined control in accordance with the detection device detecting that the index of the film cartridge does not exist in indices of a recognized film cartridge for photography but is an admitted, predetermined index.
Abstract:
A photographic camera having a halfway film rewind mode in which a cartridge having film with part of the frames exposed and part of the frames unexposed is rewound into the film cartridge. The camera also allows the user to set a mode in which data relating to the cartridge can be entered into the memory of the camera. The memory of the camera stores the user input cartridge data together with data representative of the member of unexposed film frames remaining on the film in the cartridge.
Abstract:
An apparatus and a method for reading photographic information for an advance photo system camera utilizes a single optical sensor to record the photographic information on a data disk contained in a film cartridge. The apparatus further includes an information reading device for reading the photographic information and for generating a signal according to the photographic information. A film transport device is also used for rotating a film spool to wind a film into and out of the film cartridge. The apparatus further includes a controller for determining the state of the film cartridge and for setting a stop position of the film spool according to the current state of the film cartridge. The recorded photographic information can be easily read, thus allowing the user to easily determine the state of the film cartridge.
Abstract:
A photo film cassette contains a photo film, which is exited from a cassette shell when a spool is rotated in an unwinding direction. A data disk is integrally rotatable with the spool. The spool, if the photo film is unexposed, is stopped in an unexposed position with the bar code portion located in a first opening and with the quiet zone located in a second opening. The spool, if the photo film is partially exposed, all exposed or developed, is stopped in one of other predetermined positions. In a camera at first, a spool drive shaft is set in a reference position. To discern a used status of the cassette, after the camera is loaded with the cassette, the spool drive shaft is rotated in reverse to the unwinding. The spool drive shaft is engaged with the spool being in the initial position, to rotate the spool further. While the spool is rotated, the black and white bars and the quiet zone are detected with two photo sensors respectively through the first and second openings. As per a signal from the first photo sensor, it is determined whether the used status of the cassette is an unexposed status of the photo film. If the used status of the cassette is determined different from the unexposed status, then either one is determined between a partially exposed status and an exposed or developed status of the photo film as per a signal from the second photo sensor.
