    摘要: An auto-metering system for use in a film camera having an automatic film advance system is provided. The auto-metering system has a sprocket wheel having a support member arranged so that when the automatic film advance system advances film, the sprocket wheel is rotated, with the sprocket wheel having a gear engagement surface and a reduction gear engaging the gear engagement surface of the sprocket wheel. The reduction gear has a lobe thereon, and is adapted to move the lobe between a first position to a second position with said movement between the first position and second position occurring at a different rate than the rate of rotation of the sprocket wheel. A metering switch is located at the second position. The metering switch changes between a first state when the cam is not at the second position and a second state when the cam is at second position. A control circuit controls operation of the film advance system based upon to the state of the metering switch. Wherein the sprocket wheel, reduction gear and lobe, are arranged so the lobe is at the second position when the film is advanced by a predetermined amount.

    摘要: A web motion control system for controlling the tension in a web advanced at a preset velocity in a web transport path between a supply reel and a take-up reel without the use of tension loops, particularly for use in transporting spliced together, developed filmstrips through a film preparation work station. The web (film) is advanced in the web transport path in either a forward or rewind direction in either a velocity mode or a position mode by a motor driven capstan roller. The supply and take-up reels have a hub over which the web is wound in unknown supply and take-up web winding diameters. Take-up and supply reel motors and encoders are attached to the take-up and supply reels for imparting torques to the reels in response to motor torque signals to prevent slack in the film segments between the reels and the capstan roller and to provide reel encoder output signals on at least each 360.degree. rotation of the reels. A metering encoder rotated with the capstan roller is employed to develop an encoder count signal. The web winding radii are calculated from the differential encoder counts at successive reel encoder output signals, and appropriate motor torque signals are developed. The encoder count is also employed in the position mode to control the stopping of the web after a predetermined advancement.

    摘要: An apparatus for transporting film within an APS camera includes a perforation sensor, a controller, a film transporter, and a motor. The controller receives signals from the perforation sensor, and controls the film transport in response to the electric signal. The control unit also controls the film transporter to rewind the film and then wind the film to a predetermined position. During winding the controller counts a time period during which a perforation is not sensed by the perforation sensor, and compares the time period with a predetermined time. The controller then controls the film transporter to wind the film so long as the time period is less than the predetermined time; and stopping winding of the film at a position when a state of a signal from the perforation sensor changes, when the time period exceeds the predetermined time.

    摘要: An apparatus and a method for reading photographic information for an advance photo system camera utilizes a single optical sensor to record the photographic information on a data disk contained in a film cartridge. The apparatus further includes an information reading device for reading the photographic information and for generating a signal according to the photographic information. A film transport device is also used for rotating a film spool to wind a film into and out of the film cartridge. The apparatus further includes a controller for determining the state of the film cartridge and for setting a stop position of the film spool according to the current state of the film cartridge. The recorded photographic information can be easily read, thus allowing the user to easily determine the state of the film cartridge.

    摘要: A device for detecting perforations in film includes a camera body or other optical instrument body. A pressure plate is disposed at a rear of the body and has a channel that allows access of a sensor output to detect and read film position via the recognition of such perforations in the moving film as it passes through the camera or optical instrument body. The pressure plate maintains the alignment of the film relative to the body. An installation board is aligned and mounted adjacent a rear of the pressure plate. A sensor is attached to the installation board. The sensor is disposed to face a section of the film having perforations through the channel of the pressure plate as the film moves along a film path. The sensor transmits electronic signals corresponding to the position of perforations of the film as the film moves along the film path. The invention provides for the efficient and economical construction of a device having a sensor for detecting perforations in film.

    摘要: Film winding between exposures in a photographic camera is interrupted and/or braked as a function of film velocity. The camera uses velocity in a control mechanism that stops the winding motor as a function of the velocity in response to detection of a film perforation. The function acts on a time interval between sensing a perforation and stopping the motor or applying a brake. The perforation detector and the velocity sensor use a single sensing element that generates first and second signals at the respective leading and trailing edges of a perforation. The time interval between the first and second signals is indicative of film velocity, and is used to determine the stopping function preferably in accordance with a predetermined look-up table. The control then selects an appropriate time interval between sensing a respective one of the perforations and stopping said motor. A brake also may be applied for stopping film movement, and the control applies the brake as a function of the velocity.
