    Abstract: In an electronic device for controlling the shaking of a lens part of a camera module and an operation method for the electronic device according to various embodiments, the electronic device includes: a housing; a first camera that is accommodated in the housing and includes a first lens part capable of refracting light, reflected from an external object, through one surface of the housing, and a first optical image stabilizer (OIS) capable of compensating for the shaking of the first lens part; a second camera that is accommodated in the housing and includes a second lens part capable of refracting light, reflected from the external object, through the one surface and a second optical image stabilizer capable of compensating for the shaking of the second lens part; and a control circuit, wherein the control circuit may be configured to: acquire an image of the external object by using the first camera and the second camera; acquire a first signal, corresponding to the shaking of the first lens part, and a second signal, corresponding to the shaking of the second lens part, while acquiring the image; verify compensation information that is compensated so that the movement amount of the first lens part or the second lens part according to a signal corresponding to a predetermined movement amount of the first lens part or the second lens part is substantially the same as the predetermined movement amount; determine a control signal on the basis of the first signal, the second signal, and the compensation information; and move the first lens part by using the first optical image stabilizer or the second lens part by using the second optical image stabilizer on the basis of the control signal. Various other embodiments are also possible.

    Abstract: A portable communication device configured to activate an image capturing function of a camera module. When the image capturing function is activated, use an image sensor to obtain first raw image data including a specified channel pattern, generated by binning image data obtained from the specified number of image pixels corresponding to the same channel. Display a first image generated based on the first raw image data on a display. While the image capturing function is activated, receive an input associated with adjustment of a zoom setting. Use the image sensor to obtain second raw image data having the specified channel pattern, generated by re-mosaicing image data obtained from some of the plurality of image pixels corresponding to a portion of the image sensor based on the input. Display a second image generated based on the second raw image data on the display.

    Abstract: In various embodiments, an electronic device includes one or more sensors, a driving module comprising driving circuitry configured to move the electronic device, a memory, and a processor. The processor may be configured to execute instructions to control the electronic device to determine a first distance between the electronic device and a user using at least one of the one or more sensors, and to acquire information corresponding to a gesture of the user through at least one of the one or more sensors based on the first distance being within a first predefined range. The processor may be further configured to control the electronic device to move using the driving module, based on the first distance being within a second predefined range, such that the electronic device is located within the first predefined range and acquires the information corresponding to the gesture of the user through at least one of the one or more sensors.

The apparatus includes an electronic device that may have a camera, and a processor configured to obtain an image that contains a plurality of objects by using the camera, display the image through a display that is functionally connected to the processor, select a partial area of the image, which includes at least a portion of at least one of the plurality of objects, based on the sizes, movements, or positions of the plurality of objects, and stabilize the image based on the selected partial area.

    Abstract: An electronic device and method of recognizing biometric data are provided. The electronic device includes a first camera configured to acquire an image through visible light; a second camera configured to acquire an image through infrared rays; a display; a memory; and a processor configured to receive a request associated with biometric authentication for a user, in response to the request, identify context information associated with the electronic device; when context information corresponds to a first condition, provide to the display a first image corresponding to the biometric authentication and acquired by the first camera, and perform the biometric authentication using biometric data acquired from the second camera; and when the context information corresponds to a second condition, provide to the display a second image corresponding to the biometric authentication and acquired by the second camera, and perform the biometric authentication using biometric data acquired from the second camera.
