Abstract:
A dispenser for flowable materials, such as toothpaste, includes a hollow barrel in the form of a tube open at its lower end and closed at its upper end with the flowable material being inserted in the tube. A plunger which is also in the form of a hollow tube having a closed upper end, is telescopically arranged in the barrel. A seal is effected by a hinged peripheral rim on the outer surface of the piston near its upper end. The flow of the material forces the peripheral rim to pivot into sealing contact with the inner surface of the barrel.
Abstract:
A device for simulating climbing includes a pair of side frames each of which has a pair of upper legs into which a pair of lower legs are telescoped. A horizontal platform is connected to the upper legs whereby the effective height of the platform may be adjusted by the degree of telescoping of the lower legs into the upper legs.
Abstract:
A wrist exercise device includes a hollow shaft which houses a pair of compression springs. Tension disks are provided at the remote ends of the springs. The disks are moved toward and away from each other by turning a tension knob at one end of the device to increase or decrease the resistance from a pair of friction pads on each side of a handle at each end of the device. A resistance indicator is provided at one end of the device.
Abstract:
A dispenser for two distinct fluids includes a container having a chamber for each of the fluids. The fluid chambers communicate with a mixing chamber at the top of the container leading to a dispensing spout. Mixing ports in the wall of the mixing chamber permit the fluids to mix before being dispensed from the container.
Abstract:
A wrist exercise device includes a hollow shaft having a turning disk rotatably mounted at one end thereof. Resistance is provided to oppose the rotation of the turning disk. A turning knob is secured at the opposite end of the shaft for setting the amount of the resistance. Detachable weights are mounted on the device so that the device also functions as a dumbbell.
Abstract:
A dispenser for flowable materials such as toothpaste includes a hollow barrel in the form of a cylinder open at its lower end and closed at its upper end with the flowable material being inserted in the cylinder. A plunger, which is also in the form of a hollow cylinder open at its lower end and closed at its upper end is telescopically arranged in the cylinder so that upon telescopic movement of the plunger in the barrel, flowable material is dispensed from a spout at the upper portion of the barrel.
Abstract:
An adjustable utility bench includes an elongated planar support platform. A mounting unit is secured to each end of the platform and includes a pair of legs hingedly mounted to the platform. The legs are interconnected by a brace so as to be jointly movable from its perpendicular position during use to its folded parallel position during storage. An extension is adjustably secured to each leg to vary the height of the platform.
