Abstract:
A combination slant board and abdominal rocker includes a slant board which comprises a rigid body support elevated at one end to incline the body support. The abdominal rocker has a frame with a base section pivotally mounted adjacent to the body support and a grip section spaced from the base section. A neck rest is mounted to the frame between the base section and the grip section. The grip section and the neck rest are located above the body support.
Abstract:
Energy conservation or expenditure garments are designed for use by cyclists. The garment includes in one embodiment an air cooling system through use of various air passageways in the energy conservation garment. In another embodiment the energy expenditure garment includes pockets to offer drag or resistance to the user. An indicator may be provided at the back of the hand portion of the garment to indicate some parameter of exercise.
Abstract:
An energy expenditure garment is worn underneath outer clothing continuously for an extended period of time during which the user would perform physical activities which are dominantly non-anaerobic so as to burn more calories than would be burned if the resistance garment were not being worn.
Abstract:
A portable exercise device comprises a rigid planar base having a horizontal upper surface. At least one support bracket is mounted to the upper surface. A generally vertically disposed pole is mounted to the support brackets at one of a co-arcuate array of positioning locations on the brackets to vary the angular orientation of the pole. The pole may also be disposed in a completely collapsed horizontal condition during transportation and storage of the device. The base has hand accommodating structure to facilitate the carrying of the base. A body supporting member, such as a bench, may be mounted to the pole and the base. In addition, a rigid exercise bar could be mounted to the pole. A plurality of elastic exercise cords could be mounted to the base.
Abstract:
An exercise garment includes an outer layer of clothing which is in the form of a warm up suit or sweatsuit loosely fitting on the user. An inner layer of clothing made of elastic resistance material is secured to the inside of the outer layer of clothing. The inner layer of clothing is anchored at spaced locations so that the user is required to stretch the material of the inner layer during various body movements while the outer layer remains loose fitting.
Abstract:
A multiple exercise device includes a slant board which may be elevated to different angular orientations ranging between completely vertical to completely horizontal. A rowing arm assembly is mounted on each side of the slant board with the pivotal action of the rowing arms being resisted by a friction brake. A foot platform is mounted at the lower end of the slant board and a shoulder resistance assembly is also mounted to the slant board.
Abstract:
A combination exercise device includes a trampoline which has a peripheral frame and a resiliently mounted spring member secured to the frame with an upper surface upon which the user may jump. Feet are mounted to the frame for elevating the spring member. The exercise device also includes a step which has a horizontal rigid platform upon which the user may repeatedly step on and off in an aerobic exercise. The trampoline is selectively mounted with respect to the step so that the upper surface of the spring member of the trampoline is selectively disposed above the platform at a sufficient distance to permit the trampoline to be used while mounted over the spring member. In other stages of use the trampoline is removed from the step so that the step may be used in an exercise mode. Alternatively, the trampoline may be of a sufficiently small size that the step and trampoline could be permanently mounted together and both types of exercises could then be selectively performed.
Abstract:
A toy missile launching device includes a hollow barrel which simulates a bazooka. A water balloon is mounted in the barrel detachably connected to a trigger mechanism. An elastic band is secured to the water balloon and anchored to the front end of the barrel in a stretched condition when the water balloon is mounted to the trigger mechanism whereby actuation of the trigger mechanism permits detachment of the water balloon from the trigger mechanism under the contracting influence of the elastic band to launch the water balloon out of the barrel.
Abstract:
An exercise device having at least one shaft, and a weight attached to the shaft. The weight may be attached in a variety of ways, and the amount of weight may be varied, depending on the users needs.
Abstract:
A device for the temporary storage of clothing articles with a base unit consisting of a top having an opening in the center, a bottom and four sides of which the two opposite sides are solid and the sides adjacent to those have openings of varying sizes and a hinged storage bin which is positioned in one of the openings in one of the four sides of the base cabinet. A fitting is set into the opening of the top surface in which a tube fits. A frame with a plurality of hooks is attached to top end of the tube. A plurality of bars are arranged in the open side of the base unit at different elevations in relation to the bottom of the base unit allowing for the storage of foot wear articles.
