摘要： A method of transmitting data in a transmitting stage is disclosed. The present invention includes configuring a MAC PDU (medium access control protocol data unit) including fragmented data and a fragmentation extended header (FEH) and a packing extended header (PEH) for transmitting the fragmented data and transmitting the configured MAC PDU to a receiving stage. Preferably, the FEH or the PEH includes an extended header type field indicating a type of an extended header and a fragmentation control field including information on the fragmented data.

摘要： A method for determining whether a mobile station (MS) is present in coverage of a serving base station (SBS) during a handover process and an apparatus for carrying out the same, resulting in the implementation of more reliable handover, are disclosed. A method for controlling an MS to perform a presence check procedure during handover of a broadband wireless access system includes receiving a first signal for a presence check request from an SBS, and transmitting a second signal as a response to the presence check request to the SBS. Preferably, the first signal is received after the lapse of a first time indicating a deadline at which the MS performs network re-entry to a target base station (TBS).

A method of transmitting paging information from a base station belonging to at least one paging groups according to one embodiment of the present invention includes the steps of allocating a paging group offset (PGO) per one specific one of at least one paging groups, transmitting a message including one paging group offset (PGO) per one specific paging group, and transmitting a broadcast channel (BCH) including paging group formation on the specific paging group at a timing point indicated by the paging group offset.

摘要： The present invention relates to a method enabling a base station and a terminal to reliably transmit short messages in a broadband wireless access system. According to one embodiment of the present invention, the method wherein a terminal receives a short message service (SMS) in a broadband wireless access system comprises the following steps: transmitting a first message for carrying out ranging to a base station; receiving a second message, which comprises SMS information and uplink resource allocation information for the transmission of a third message, from the base station as a response to the first message; and transmitting a third message, which indicates the state of the reception of the second message, to the base station by means of uplink resources which are indicated by the uplink resources allocation information.

A second announcement message indicating service recovery is transmitted. The second announcement message is transmitted to a user equipment or a macro base station having a wider cell area than the femto base station. Reliability of a communication service can be maintained for a user equipment even if a service of a femto base station is temporarily interrupted.
