摘要: A distal femoral joint replacement system includes a femoral component having condylar articular surfaces, a stem extending from the femoral component, and a void filler for filling a bone void within a femur. The void filler includes a body and a plurality of legs extending from the body. The body has a sidewall defining an opening for receipt of the stem which extends along a length of the body and extends through the sidewall so as to form a side-slot in the sidewall that extends along an entire length of the sidewall. The plurality of legs each have a first end connected to the body and a second end remote from the body. The legs each have an outer surface that tapers between the first and second ends and is configured to register with a corresponding inner surface of a bone void when implanted in an end of the femur.

摘要: A surgical referencing guide includes a body having a contact surface and a first foot extending away from the body. The first foot includes a first reference surface having a first area defined by a standard deviation of a first dataset extracted from a database and being comprised of a plurality of first data points each corresponding to an individual bone within a population of bones and each corresponding to a location of a preselected point on the bone within a predetermined coordinate system.

摘要: Various embodiments of an impact absorbing pad are disclosed herein. Each pad is configured to protect a load bearing surface of an implant from damage when the implant is implanted. Each pad may have an attachment portion that allows the pad to be attached to the load bearing surface. An impactor tool may also be attached to the load bearing surface and utilized the drive a portion of the implant into a bone cavity. The pad may be removed by hand, removed with the tool, or implanted with the implant. Related systems and methods for using and making the pad are also disclosed.

摘要: A device, method, and system for treatment or fixation of a fractured, damaged, or deteriorating bone or bones in a mid-foot region. The device comprising an implant with both proximal and distal fastener holes, along with fastener slots in a central elongated body, for securing the implant to the appropriate osseous cortical structures of the foot. The method for treatment or fixation of fractured, damaged, or deteriorating bones in the medial column of the foot with use of a device such as an intramedullary nail that attaches to either the talus or first metatarsal bones to secure the medial cuneiform and navicular bones in place.

摘要: Filamentary fixation devices may be used in a variety of surgical procedures to secure soft tissue to bone. The present invention provides various devices, systems, kits and instrumentation for performing such surgical procedures including preparation of soft tissue and bone, preparation and manipulation of such filamentary fixation devices, and insertion and utilization of the fixation devices within a patient's anatomy. In one embodiment, a method for securing soft tissue to bone, the method includes accessing the soft tissue and the bone, passing a filament through the soft tissue, preparing a bore hole in the bone, loading the filament into a filamentary fixation device, implanting the filamentary fixation device, with the filament, into the bore hole, and tensioning the filament so that the filamentary fixation device and filament are secured within the bore hole.

摘要: A high energy beam verification, calibration, and profiling system includes a conductive base plate, supports extending from the base plate, a plurality of conductors, a data logger electrically connected to the conductors, and a computer electrically connected to the data logger. Each conductor is supported by some of the supports such that each conductor is insulated from the conductive base plate. Each conductor has a profile intersecting with profiles of at least some of the other conductors to define a multidirectional and two-dimensional array of conductors. The data logger receives and records data associated with electrical charges flowing through the conductors. The computer is adapted to receive, manipulate, and display the data recorded by the data logger for comparison of beam characteristics at different locations across a high energy beam build area.
