    摘要: A rotary joint includes a socket rod having a socket rod flange with a basically spheroid concave bearing surface at a first end, a housing nut encircling the socket rod and having a threaded wrenching head, and a ball rod having a basically spheroid convex bearing surface and threaded side walls around the bearing surface. A diameter of the threaded side walls of the ball rod corresponds to a diameter of the threaded wrenching head of the housing nut. First guiding tracks are on the concave bearing surface oriented into a first swivelling direction, the socket rod being swivable to the ball rod along the first guiding tracks into the first swivelling direction. Second guiding tracks are on the convex bearing surface and oriented into a second swivelling direction, the socket rod being swivellable to the ball rod along the second guiding tracks into the second swivelling direction.

A forming system and method position a framework and a covering skin of the structure in relation to a mandrel, and drill and rivet the framework to the covering skin with a plurality of operating heads.

    摘要: A self-righting aeronautical vehicle comprising a hollowed frame and a lift mechanism. The exterior of the frame and center of gravity are adapted to self-right the vehicle. The frame can include sealed, hollowed sections for use in bodies of water. The frame can be spherical in shape enabling inspection of internal surface of partially or fully enclosed structures. Inspection equipment can be integrated into the vehicle and acquired data can be stored or wirelessly communicated to a server. A controlled or other mass can be pivotally assembled to a pivot axle spanning across the interior of the frame. The pivot axis can rotate about a vertical axis (an axis perpendicular to the elongated axis). The propulsion mechanisms can be adapted for use as a terrestrial vehicle when enclosed in a sealed spherical shell.
