摘要： A decorative security panel assembly for insertion into an opening of a door or an opening of a window. The assembly can include a polymer security with a low-moisture content of no more than five wt %, such that the polymer security grille does not produce condensation within the assembly. A seal can be disposed about the polymer security grille. A translucent panel can be disposed over each side of the polymer grille and engaged with the seal. An air space can be formed between the two translucent panels, with the polymer security grille disposed within the air space. A first frame can be engaged over one of the translucent panels, while a second frame is engaged over the second translucent panel, forming a frame assembly. The frame assembly can be inserted into an opening of a door or an opening in a structure.

摘要： A muntin bar clip and an insulated glass unit employing the clip are provided, wherein the clip has a base, a tree for engaging the hollow end of a false muntin bar extending upward from the base, and a wedge extending downward from the perimeter of the base, wherein the wedge tapers as it extends away from the base. The wedge is inserted between one of the sheets of glass and a foam spacer frame when the clip is installed. The face of the wedge that is in contact with the foam spacer frame may be provided with a projection, such as an inverted tetrahedron shape, to increase frictional resistance to movement of the clip along the spacer frame, without compromising the seal between the spacer frame and the glass.

摘要： A grid simulating muntins is retained or secured by clips within a spacer frame between glass sheets. The clips include a spacer-engaging member having a platform, and upright walls bendable toward one another, and a grid-engaging member. The grid-engaging member is mounted on the platform, extends upward between and spaced from the upright walls, and is received into one of the ends of the elongated members of the grid. The platform and portions of the upright walls of the spacer-engaging member are positioned within the spacer frame such that the ends of the elongated members of the grid are below the sight line of the unit. The spacer-engaging member and the grid-engaging member can be a monolithic piece, or the grid-engaging member can be detachably secured to the platform of the spacer-engaging member.

The muntin clip includes a base member adapted for connection to the spacer frame and a bar support adapted for connection to the muntin bar end. The base member has a first segment, a second segment, and a mount structure. The bar support extends from the base member and has a first segment extending from the first segment of the base member and a second segment extending from the second segment of the base member. A flexible hinge member connects the first segment of the bar support to the second segment of the bar support, allowing the muntin clip assembly to move between an unfolded position and a folded position. A tension mechanism exerts outward force on the first and second segments of the base member when the muntin clip assembly is in the folded position.
