    摘要: A motor driven compressor having a motor for driving a compression mechanism includes a connecting portion for connecting between an external terminal for supplying electricity to the motor and a wire end portion of a stator of the motor. The connecting portion is located above the motor and the compression mechanism. Further, the connecting portion is formed on the stator housing which accommodates the motor and the stator. The connecting portion is disposed in a hollow projection portion, which extends upward from the housing. Accordingly, the motor driven compressor which is readily manufactured, may avoid a leakage current by insulating a terminal portion of the motor from the housing of compressor.

A drive scroll (10) may be rotatably disposed within the housing and may have a rotational axis. A driven scroll (20) may be rotatably disposed within the housing and may have a rotational axis. The driven scroll rotational axis preferably is offset with respect to the drive scroll rotational axis. Further, at least one compression chamber (30) is preferably defined between the drive scroll and the driven scroll. First bearings (14, 16, 16a) may rotatably support one of the drive scroll and the driven scroll in a straddle manner. A second bearing (24) may rotatably support the other of the drive scroll and the driven scroll in a cantilever manner. A transmission (31, 131, 231 and 331) or other device may be provided to rotate the driven scroll in synchronism with the drive scroll.

    摘要: A preferably totally oil-free spiral compressor (1) with a high suction volume flows and a high compression ratio, is useful in particular to generate compressed air for rail vehicles. The compressor includes two spirals arranged on one side only, and includes measures to exactly guide both spirals relative to each other. For that purpose, a compression crown (15) is connected to and axially spaced from a first one of the spirals (7), and the second spiral (9) is positively guidedly driven within the compression crown (15) by a positive guidance arrangement. The positive guidance arrangement includes support rollers (17) that extend axially from the second spiral toward the compression crown and that are engaged and constrained to roll in bores (19) let into the compression crown (15) and shaped as guiding rings. By these measures, both spirals carry out orbital movements with respect to each other, as a result of the offset of their axes and under the positive guidance provided by the support rollers that roll in the bores. Also, to counteract axial forces exerted by the spirals, pressure chambers (35) are provided between the compression crown and the second spiral, to exert a counter force that urges the first and second spirals axially together.

    摘要: A high side co-rotational scroll compressor has lubricant sumps in both the discharge and suction pressure portions of its hermetic shell as well as a pressure biasing arrangement by which the scroll members are urged together in operation to minimize internal leakage. Lubrication of the bearing in which the driven scroll member rotates as well as to the bearing in which the idler scroll member rotates, both of which are located in the suction pressure portion of the shell, is provided for. Additionally, embodiments are taught by which the interface between the tips of the wraps of each scroll member and the end plate of the opposing scroll member are lubricated and by which the seal in the axial pressure biasing arrangement is lubricated and/or shielded from debris having the potential to damage it.

    摘要: An infinitely variable scroll-type fluid displacement apparatus comprises an orbiting scroll having a spiral element interfitted with a spiral element of a base scroll. The orbiting scroll and the base scroll are both rotatably disposed in the compressor housing and operationally connected through a rotation prevention mechanism. The orbiting scroll is continuously driven by a drive shaft, even when fluid is not displaced through the scroll-type fluid displacement apparatus. The base scroll is mounted on a carrier which has magnetic rotor elements extending in close proximity to an electromagnet. When the electromagnet is energized, an attraction force is generated between the electromagnet and the magnetic rotor elements, thereby imparting a braking force to the base scroll. Depending on the amount of braking force imparted to the base scroll, the capacity of the scroll-type fluid displacement apparatus can be infinitely varied.

    摘要: A bearing and lubrication system for a sealed, integrated motor driven co-rotating scroll refrigerant compressor includes hydrostatic bearings and an independent motor driven lubricant supply pump for supplying lubricant to the hydrostatic bearings mounting in the housing. The housing is divided into a high-pressure section that receives compressed refrigerant and a low pressure section containing the involute scroll compressor wraps. Individual lubricant supply sumps are provided in the high and lower pressure housing sections for supplying lubricant to the compressor bearings. The lubricant pump is capable of drawing lubricant from one or both of the lubricant supply sumps. A lubricant level sensor associated with one of the low or high pressure housing sumps is provided to maintain a desired level of lubricant therein. The lubricant supply pump is controlled so that pressure is supplied to the hydrostatic bearings during compressor operation. The lubricant may be pressurized by compressed refrigerant in the high-pressure housing section for supply to the compressor bearings with or without operation of the lubricant supply pump.

    摘要: A multiple-turn scroll compressor has a first scroll member and a second scroll member. Each of the scroll members has a scroll blade which is engaged with the other. A shaft has an eccentric portion which supports the first scroll member. A cylindrical guide is provided rotatably on a housing and has a guide groove at one end. A slider fixed on the first scroll member engages with the guide groove and slides on it. Driving forces are transmitted from the shaft to the first scroll member through the eccentric portion. The first scroll member is prevented from rotating on its own axis by the engagement of the cylindrical guide and slider but not from orbiting.

A sump is provided adjacent the idler scroll member for supplying lubricant to a lubricant pump disposed in the lower end of the shaft of one scroll member. A lubricant gallery is provided in the scroll shaft for receiving the lubricant from the pump and directing the lubricant through passages in the scroll shaft to lubricate the scroll shaft bearing and for directing lubricant to passages in the end plate of the scroll member to be discharged adjacent the outer ends of the scroll wraps into the alternatively open and closed first chamber formed by the scroll wraps.
