摘要： Disclosed herein is a tape measure which has at least one roller provided in the front surface of a housing, thus protecting the fingers of a user. The tape measure of the present invention includes a housing, a circumferential outer surface of which is covered with a grip. The housing has a neck extending from the front surface of the housing, thus forming upper and lower concave parts on upper and lower surfaces of the neck, respectively. The housing further has a tape extraction hole formed in a lower end of the front surface of the neck. The tape measure further includes a bobbin rotatably provided at a central portion in the housing, with a coil spring mounted in the bobbin; and a tape coupled at a first end thereof to the coil spring of the bobbin and extending at a second end thereof to the outside of the housing through the tape extraction hole, so that the tape is extracted to the outside through the tape extraction hole. The tape measure further includes an end hook which has an L shape and is coupled to the second end of the tape by a locking means, with a support hook, having an upwardly bent piece provided on the end hook.

摘要： A measurement marking and scoring device includes a platform configured to be affixed to a base of a tape measure. A marking member extends from the platform and defines a sharpened edge or point marking surface at a lower end thereof. An alignment tab extends from the marking member so as to be positioned over indicia of a tape extended from the tape measure so that measurement marks or score lines can be created on a working surface upon application of pressure to the marking member or tape measure. In another form, the device is integrally formed into a tape measure such that the marking member extends from a front edge of the tape measure.

摘要： This device facilitates field marking an arc of a circle having an obstructed center. It comprises a first clamp having a slot to engage a standard tape measure and a second clamp having another slot to engage a color-coded tape measure. A detachable swivel joint snap connects the first clamp to the second clamp, and a handle is connected to the first clamp. A method is provided to use the device, a standard tape measure, a color-coded tape measure, a rod, and a scribe to mark out such an arc. The method comprises identifying coordinates of an eccentric ellipse, whose foci are field accessible, that will substantially overlap the arc. The two tape measures are anchored to the two foci. The standard tape measure is stretched tight between the two foci while the color-coded tape measure provides a string line for marking out a closely fitting elliptical arc segment.

摘要： A marking device is used with a measuring tape extendable from a coiled position to mark a desired distance measured by the tape. The marking device includes an actuation member and a marker holder. The actuation member has an exterior portion for manual movement from a retracted to a marking position which moves the marker holder from the retracted to the marking position. A marker is attached to the marker holder for marking the desired distance. A guide device is provided to guide the marker across an inker and then to the marking position. A biasing device, such as a spring, is connected to the marker holder to urge the marker holder towards the retracted position.
