    摘要: A method and an apparatus for spectrum synthesis for use in a flash unit, wherein the spectrum synthesis includes combining a plurality of emissive light sources in order to provide a combine output beam and producing the output spectrum for the combined output beam at least based on a reference spectrum. The reference spectrum can be obtained by sensing the spectrum of ambient light or selected from a plurality of stored spectra. The flash unit has at least two emissive light sources and each of the light sources can be adjusted relative to each other so that the outputs from the light sources can mimic a selected illumination scenario. It is possible to use a mixture of quantum dots to tailor each light source so that the combined spectra from different light sources can reasonably mimic a number of frequently used illumination scenario.

    摘要: In a multiple-point automatic focusing camera of this invention, when a focal point is detected to a focal point detecting region in the center of a shot screen by an AP sensor and a main control circuit, a LED having a narrow light distribution angle is used as a supplemental light source. On the other hand, upon detecting the focal point in a focal point detecting region in the periphery of the shot screen, a stroboscope light source having a wide light distribution angle is used as the supplemental light source. As a result, the focal point can be detected in any focal point detecting region even at the time of a low luminance. At this time, the stroboscope light source may be originally equipped for illumination at the time of photographing. Further, the LED may be of small size having a narrow light distribution angle. Thus, the size of the supplemental light source can be suppressed.

    摘要: A tamper resistant electronic flash unit comprising a pair of first and second flash circuit boards arranged parallel to one another in order to have respective inner sides that face towards each other and respective outer sides that face away from each other, an electrical component positioned on the outer side of the first flash circuit board, conductive connections connecting the electrical component to the first flash circuit board and having respective portions exposed on the inner side of the first flash circuit board, and a plurality of spacers holding the first and second flash circuit boards spaced from one another to maintain a narrow gap between the inner sides of the flash circuit boards that is narrow enough to discourage access to the portions of the conductive connections exposed on the inner side of the first flash circuit board, whereby it is difficult to reach the portions of the conductive connection in an attempt to short-circuit the electrical component. A second electrical component can be positioned on top of the electrical component positioned on the outer side of the first flash circuit board. The second electrical component is connected directly to the first flash circuit board to prevent removal of the electrical component positioned on the outer side of the first flash circuit board without having to disconnect the second electrical component from the first flash circuit board.
