Abstract: In an automotive sun visor equipped with double card holders which are arranged on one side of the sun visor main body one next to the other, one of the card holders is provided with a communication passage for communication with the opening of the other card holder so that an elongated ticket may be received from the opening of the one card holder, and, via the communication passage, retained in both the card holders. Thereby, the card holders can securely retain not only regular cards but also elongated objects such as tickets in the card holders.

Abstract: A shelf divider, label and sign holder system comprising an elongated universal support element formed with a relatively rigid channel-shaped shell adapted to be adhesively mounted on a vertically or horizontally extending surface. The support element includes an extended cover portion with flexible fingers co-extruded therewith and adapted to engage the mounting surface itself to removably capture therebetween portions of an item to be supported by the support element. When used as a vertical surface sign holder system, the support element is generally horizontally secured to the vertical surface, with the channel opening downwardly and a paper, cardboard or plastic indicia-containing label or sign securely held at its upper edges between the flexible fingers and the vertical mounting surface. The same support element may be adhesively secured to the undersurface of a shelf juxtapositioned to the front edge thereof, for reception of a perpendicular mounting flange of an adhesive or non-adhesive label holder. Additionally, a pair of the universal support elements may be adhesively secured in spaced parallel relation to the upper surface of a shelf generally parallel to the elongated front and back edges thereof with their channels facing each other, for reception of mounting elements formed at the end of a flat flange, between which a perpendicularly extending divider member is supported.

Abstract: An improved electronic price display system has rails into which are installed price display labels. Ridges along the top and bottom of the rails are shaped to receive a label readily. A removal tool may be engaged to release the pawls of the label to extract the label. Ridges at the rear of the rails, together with a resilient insert, permit quick mounting to a shelf with a minimal number of fasteners. A hemicylindrical feature at the back of the rails permits generous area of contact with a mounting screw having a hemispherical head. Opposed groove features permit the concealment of the screw heads and provide a visual design element.Angled ridges on the rear face of the label engage with knurls on the rails providing contact wiping, enhancing electrical integrity of the label-to-rail connection, and also fix the label in place.A feature along an edge of the rail provides a cylindrical concavity. An optional clear plastic cover mounted with a cylindrical edge bead in the concavity provides a hinged connection therebetween. A protruding button on the face of the label is actuated by the pressing of the cover in the vicinity of the button.A subassembly of the label provides a robust carrier for springy contacts providing electrical connection long conductors on the rails.

Abstract: A clip-on label holder and cover is provided for insertion in a price ticket channel member of a shelf. The cover comprises an elongate clear plastic strip, having a clear plastic display panel and an integral clip. A label, such as a data strip, may be inserted between the panel and the channel member. The panel is biased towards the channel, to grip the card between the panel and the channel member. Abstract: An extruded plastic price channel can be fitted in a C-channel at the front of a merchandise shelf to provide a mounting for merchandise labelling. The price channel includes a label panel and a leg extending from the back of the label panel. A top edge of the label panel and a free end of the leg snap behind upper and lower lips of the C-channel to retain the price channel in place with the label panel angled to the vertical. The top edge of the label panel has an improved design to enhance its grip in the C-channel. Abstract: A carrier strip for holding labels to a support, such as the edge of a shelf, includes a rear wall which can be attached to the support and a transparent front wall which is connected to the rear wall so as to form a pocket between the walls. The carrier strip is made by extruding a plastic composition at relatively high pressure through a die which imcompletely smooths the surface irregularities resulting from the relatively high extrusion pressure. This disrupts the longitudinal striations or dielines which are characteristic of extruded members and which might otherwise cause undesirable reflections when a bar code reader is used to read a bar code printed on a label in the pocket.
