Abstract: A carrying case for planar, rectangular articles of minimal thickness, such as the housings in which audio compact discs are packaged, is disclosed. The carrying case includes a housing comprised of six rectangular side panels, five of which are integrally bound into a fixed rectilinear relation with one-another, leaving a remaining sixth side open, the sixth side panel being hingedly fixed adjacent the housing's open side to one of the five fixed side panels. Hook and loop fabric fasteners on the housing, and on a hinged closure flap of the sixth panel, permit the sixth side panel to cover the open sixth side securely. A plurality of drawers is slidably disposed within the housing upon opposed pairs of drawer supports comprised of tracks and runners. Each drawer has a bottom, and upstanding front, rear and side walls. Each also includes a plurality of thin, upstanding rectilinearly-oriented fences dividing the drawer's interior space, into nine compartments. An opening is provided in the drawer bottom within each compartment, and an opposed pair of semicircular cutouts in the front wall of each drawer serves as a drawer pull.

Abstract: A storage container for record discs having a small diameter comprises a housing and plural disc holders which may selectively be ejected from the housing, under the influence of ejection springs, so that the disc carried by the ejected holder can be utilized. Abstract: In a multisectional storage container, especially a storage box for the storage of plate- or disk-shaped items, such as compact disks or diskettes, for example, it is proposed that individual storage sleeves be interconnected one with the other in an articulated manner by means of interconnecting means in such a manner that the sequence of sleeves can be opened in the nature of a parallelogram mechanism or in an accordian-like manner, thus enabling all of the items that are contained therein to immediately be visually inspected and identified and/or manually removed. By subsequently collapsing the individual storage sleeves of the storage box, it is possible to house them in a minimum of space, without any clearance one between the other, and, if desired, to store them in a dust-tight manner by means of an enveloping enclosure.
