The vertical supports are made from two U-shaped channels mounted to form a closed rectangular channel.     摘要: The preferred embodiments of the present invention include an optical splitter module having connectorized pigtails that are stored on the bulkhead faceplate of the module. The module includes an optical splitter output harness, for example, a ribbon cable assembly attached to the bulkhead with rugged strain relief mechanism. The ribbon harness is converted to individual pigtails with connectors which are stored on adapter receptacles on the faceplate. Adapter receptacles used may optionally be half receptacles when storage is the only desired function or may be full receptacles when access to the pigtail ferrule tip is required. Access to the ferrule tip may be required for attaching fiber optic terminators to eliminate undesirable reflections caused by unterminated connectors. The module provides an administrative location for splitter outputs prior to being connected individually into service. The module also provides an administrative storage location for splitter outputs taken out of service as a temporary staging area before being reassigned and connected individually into service again.

    摘要: The present invention relates to a telecommunications termination panel with a housing including a front opening and a rear opening. Pivotably mounted within the housing is a tray within the front opening, pivoting about a vertical axis located adjacent a first side of the housing. A cable path is defined along a bottom of the housing along the first side between the cable entry of the tray and the rear opening. A movable plate is positioned adjacent the first side and is movable between a first position defining an upper limit of the cable path when the tray is closed and a second position allowing access to the cable path when the tray is open. The movement of the plate between the first and second positions is actuated by the movement of the tray between the closed and open positions. The present invention further relates to a telecommunications termination panel with a housing including a front opening. Pivotably mounted within the housing is a tray within the front opening, pivoting about a vertical axis located adjacent a first side of the housing. The tray is pivotable between an open position and a closed position. The tray includes a cover which can be moved between an operational position and an access position when the tray is in the open position. With the cover in the operational position, the tray is prevented from moving from the open position to the closed position.

    摘要: A panel mountable electronic device includes a housing having a flange through which passes a hole, a tab having a threaded hole, and a screw. In some embodiments, the electronic device is an optical transceiver and includes optical as well as electronic connections. The disclosed electronic device may be mounted to a panel by inserting the screw through the hole in the flange and into the threaded hole in the tab, inserting a portion of the housing through an opening in the panel, and rotating the screw to rotate the tab into position to clamp a portion of the panel between the tab and the flange. The screw may be further rotated to draw the tab toward the flange and thereby adjust the contact pressure between the flange and the panel.

    摘要: There is provided an adapter for mounting electronic equipment, such as telecommunications switching equipment, to a rack. The adapter is configured to comply with industry standards, such as the Electronic Industries Association standards, that prescribe how electronic equipment should be mounted and installed. The adapter also protects and guides fiber optic cables connecting a communications network to electronic circuitry units which form part of the electronic equipment. In compliance with Bellcore standards, the adapter provides means for bend radius control which ensures that the fiber optic cable does not have a bend radius of less than one inch as it is dressed between the electronic circuitry units and the communications network. A cable cavity defined by the adapter is intended to minimize that fiber optic cable contained therein catches on the equipment and clothing of service personnel.
