    Abstract: A capture vessel is provided that is configured to capture carbon dioxide (CO2) according to a thermal swing adsorption (TSA) process. The capture vessel includes capture media that are configured to adsorb CO2 from an exhaust gas during a CO2 capture stage to produce a first N2 gas that exits the capture vessel, receive a mixed stream of CO2 and water vapor during a wet regeneration stage, adsorb water from the mixed stream of CO2 and water vapor and release adsorbed CO2 during the wet regeneration stage to produce a CO2 stream, receive a first heated N2 gas and release adsorbed water due to evaporation caused by the first heated N2 gas during a drying stage, and receive a cooled gas during a cooling stage such that an absorption capacity of the capture media for CO2 capture is increased for a next CO2 capture stage.

    Abstract: An odor filtering lid assembly includes a lid that is positionable on a cooking pot and that has female threads which are integrated into a perimeter of the lid. A first disk has a plurality of first air holes each extending through the first disk to pass air through the first disk. The first disk has male threads integrated into the first disk which threadably engaging the female threads in the lid for removably attaching the first disk to the lid. An air filter is positioned against the first disk to filter odors from air passing through the air filter. A second disk has a plurality of second air holes each extending through the second disk to pass air through the second disk. The second disk is positionable against the first disk such that the air filter is positioned between the first disk and the second disk.

    Abstract: A product for adsorbing one or more heavy metals from a liquid is disclosed. The product may comprise attapulgite that has been surface functionalized with a surface coating agent that includes one or more mercury affinity functional groups that chemically bond to the attapulgite surface, wherein the weight percentage of components of the product includes: 91-99 wt. % attapulgite and 1-9 wt. % surface coating agent that includes the one or more mercury affinity functional groups. The product has a surface area in the range of 115-145 m2/g as measured using the BET method. The heavy metal includes mercury and/or lead. Also disclosed is a method of producing the product and a method of adsorbing at least one heavy metal in a liquid using the product.

    Abstract: There is provided a liquid water harvester based on a valve-controlled active air supply and belongs to the field of liquid water harvesters. The present disclosure aims to address the problem of low airflow speed, high environmental humidity requirements, and auxiliary heating of an adsorption stage in the current atmospheric water harvesting technologies. In the present disclosure, the active air supply device is used to speed up the air circulation in the harvester so as to greatly shorten the adsorption time of the moisture absorbing material for the water vapor in the air and improve the heat dissipation of the micro-nano structure condensation surface. The electric valve controls the air circulation circuit and cooperates with the active air supply device. In this case, only one active air supply device can be used to complete the air supply and the condensation heat dissipation at the same time.
