摘要: In one aspect, a system for performing a pre-takeoff passenger safety procedure for a pilotless vertical takeoff and landing (VTOL) aircraft is disclosed. The system can begin by receiving authentication information from each of one or more passengers attempting to enter a passenger cabin of the VTOL. The system then authenticates each of the one or more passengers as an authorized passenger based on the authentication information. If the one or more passengers are successfully authenticated, the system allows the one or more passengers to enter the passenger cabin of the VTOL aircraft, and subsequently performs a set of onboard pre-takeoff checks to determine if the VTOL aircraft and the one or more passengers are safe for takeoff. In response to determining that the VTOL aircraft and the one or more passengers are safe for takeoff, the system further confirms readiness of each of the passengers for immediate takeoff.

摘要: An anchoring platform is disclosed for captive aircraft that addresses problems when handling captive aerostats, including excessive workload required to switch between flying and anchored states. The anchoring platform includes an anchoring device. Cords, together with a confluence point, are wound into the anchoring device, by the winch. The structure for anchoring the captive aircraft is the cradle which bears the aerostat, while the winch exerts tension to hold same static in the structure.

摘要: A method and a system for detecting and positioning an intruder within a specified volume are provided herein. The method may include the following steps: periodically scanning using a laser detection and ranging (LADAR) device directing a laser beam, within the specified volume; collecting reflections of the laser beam arriving from objects within the volume; converting the reflections to LADAR signal indicative of spatiotemporal presence of objects within the volume; applying signal processing algorithms to the LADAR signals, to determine a presence of an intruder and respective orientation parameters, based on predefined criteria; directing a camera based on the orientation parameters associated with the intruder for continuously capturing images of the intruder; and analyzing the images by a computer processor and instructing the camera to track the intruder based on the analysis, to yield real-time tracking parameters of the intruder.

The battery station may permit battery life to be reloaded onto a UAV, which may include recharging a battery of the UAV or exchanging the UAV battery for a new battery. The different zones may accommodate different UAV types, different battery types, or operate in accordance with different energy provision rules. A marker may be provided on a landing area to aid in guiding the UAV to an appropriate landing area.
