摘要: A poly(ester-carbonate) copolymer comprises carbonate units of the formula (I); and ester units of the formula (II) wherein: T is a C2-20 alkylene, a C6-20 cycloalkylene, or a C6-20 arylene; and R1 and J are each independently (a) a bisphenol A divalent group and (b) a C16 or higher divalent group (b), wherein the C16 or higher divalent group is present in an amount of 40 to 50 mol %; the ester units are present in an amount of 40 to 60 mol %; the poly(ester-carbonate) copolymer has a weight average molecular weight of 18,000 to 24,000 Daltons; and a sample of the composition has a glass transition temperature of 210° C. to 235° C. as determined by differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) as per ASTM D3418 with a 20° C./min heating rate; and a melt viscosity of less than 1050 Pa-s at 644 sec-1 and 350° C., determined according to ISO 11443.

摘要: The present invention relates to halogen-free flame retardant compositions essentially comprising polyamide polymers (preferred is polyamide 6), at least a hypophosporous acid metallic salt (preferred is aluminum hypophosphite), at least a nitrogen based flame retardant agent (preferably selected among melamine condensation products such as melam, melem, melon or their mixtures, and melamine cyanurate), at least an organic polyhydric compound and optionally further conventional components. Such compositions are highly flame retardant.

摘要: An orthodontic adhesive includes components capable of allowing easy debonding of an orthodontic device from a patient's tooth. The adhesive includes an engineered marine mussel protein. The adhesive may include at least one photocleavable moiety. The adhesive is applied in one or more individual layers. One of the components of the adhesive is capable of binding to a tooth and the other component may be capable of binding to an orthodontic device. A method of adhering an orthodontic device to a tooth includes applying a layer of an orthodontic adhesive to either the tooth or the orthodontic device or the tooth and the orthodontic device and affixing the orthodontic device to the tooth with the orthodontic adhesive situated between the tooth and the orthodontic device. The engineered marine mussel protein includes one or more catechol moieties or one or more derivatives of a catechol moiety.
