摘要: There is provided a polystyrene resin composition including: (A) a polyamide; (B) a polystyrene resin having a syndiotactic structure; (C) a compatibilizer which has a polar group reactive with the polyamide (A), and which is compatible with the polystyrene resin (B); (D) a particular hindered phenol compound; and (E) an inorganic filler, wherein the amount of the polystyrene resin (B) is 10.0 to 30.0% by weight, and the amount of the hindered phenol compound (D) is 0.3 to 1.0% by weight per 100% by weight of the total amount of the components (A) to (E).

摘要: Some variations provide a polyoxalamide polymer comprising: one or more first segments containing at least one repeat unit that includes (i) a branched, aliphatic hydrocarbon species and (ii) first amide groups at internal ends of the repeat unit, wherein the first amide groups are part of oxalamide groups; one or more polymer end groups containing second amide groups that are each covalently bonded directly to one of the first amide groups, wherein the second amide groups are also part of the oxalamide groups, and wherein the oxalamide groups contain —N—C(═O)—C(—O)—N-sequences; and a reacted form of one or more multifunctional amine chain extenders or crosslinkers with an amine functionality of 3 or greater. The polyoxalamide polymer may be present in a lens, a window, a coating, or a film, for example. The polyoxalamide polymer may have UV transparency, visual transparency, NIR transparency, MWIR transparency, and/or LWIR transparency.

摘要: A polymer composition is disclosed that contains glass fibers and has an excellent balance of properties. The polymer composition displays a comparative tracking index of greater than about 400 volts and a dielectric strength of greater than about 4 kV/mm. In addition, the polymer composition results in excellent surface properties even when molding parts having a long length. The polymer composition can contain at least one stabilizer in combination with a calcium phosphate, such as a calcium hydroxyphosphate. In one aspect, the calcium phosphate is present in the polymer composition in the form of bone char.

摘要: A nonlimiting example method of forming highly spherical carbon nanomaterial-graft-polyamide (CNM-g-polyamide) polymer particles may comprising: mixing a mixture comprising: (a) carbon nanomaterial-graft-polyamide (CNM-g-polyamide), wherein the CNM-g-polyamide particles comprises: a polyamide grafted to a carbon nanomaterial, (b) a carrier fluid that is immiscible with the polyamide of the CNM-g-polyamide, optionally (c) a thermoplastic polymer not grafted to a CNM, and optionally (d) an emulsion stabilizer at a temperature greater than a melting point or softening temperature of the polyamide of the CNM-g-polyamide and the thermoplastic polymer, when included, and at a shear rate sufficiently high to disperse the CNM-g-polyamide in the carrier fluid; cooling the mixture to below the melting point or softening temperature to form CNM-g-polyamide particles; and separating the CNM-g-polyamide particles from the carrier fluid.

摘要: Described herein are amorphous and transparent aliphatic polyamides (PA) formed from the polycondensation of monomers in a reaction mixture (RM) including a dicarboxylic acid component (DC) and a diamine component (DA). The dicarboxylic acid component (DC) includes 25 mol % to 80 mol % of 1,4-cyclohexane dicarboxylic acid (“1,4-CHDA”) and 20 mol % to 75 mol % of a linear, aliphatic dicarboxylic acid selected from azelaic acid, sebacic acid or a combination thereof. The diamine component (DA) includes a cycloaliphatic diamine selected from the group consisting of isophoronediamine (“IPDA”); 4,4′-methyl-enebis(2-methylcyclohexylamine) (“MACM”); 4,4′-methylene-bis-cyclohexane (“PACM”); 1,3-bis(aminomethyl)cyclohexane (“1,3-BAC”), bis(aminomethyl)norborane (“BAMN”) and any combination of two or more thereof. It was surprisingly found that the polyamides (PA), while being bio-based (at least in part due to the linear aliphatic dicarboxylic acid), had excellent optical clarity, improved UV stability and desirably high Tg.

The copolyamide is prepared by polymerizing a first monomer mixture (M1), containing at least one C4-C12 dicarboxylic acid and at least one C4-C12 diamine, and a second monomer mixture (M2) containing at least one C32-C40 dimer acid and at least one C4-C12 diamine. The present invention further relates to a process for producing the polymer film (P) and to the use of the polymer film (P) for high-temperature applications.

摘要: The present invention aims to provide a glass-fiber-reinforced polyamide resin composition, characterized in that, the composition contains a crystalline aliphatic polyamide resin (A), an amorphous polyamide resin (B), an acrylic resin (C), mica (D), glass fiber (E) and a master batch of carbon black (F) in a ratio by mass of (17 to 30):(10 to 16):(3 to 8):(10 to 25):(20 to 50):(1 to 8), respectively, in that, a mass ratio of (A) and (B) ((B)/(A)) satisfies 0.50 to 0.61, and in that, the composition further contains a copper compound (G) in a rate of 0.005 to 1.0 part by mass when a total amount of the ingredients (A) to (F) is taken as 100 parts by mass. From the glass-fiber-reinforced polyamide resin composition, it is possible to obtain a molded product that is highly excellent in a surface appearance (textured surface uniformity) and has a weather resistance in a level being enough for maintaining an excellent surface appearance even after the weathering test.
