The upper surface has a continuous integral trackway disposed thereon. The model train set includes at least one snap-in reversible storyboard, having a first surface and a second surface with unique surface configurations to modify the upper surface. Further included is a plurality of visual elements which are selectively engageable with the upper surface. An array of storage recesses are provided which serve to provide storage for the visual elements. A toy train is also included.

摘要： The invention refers to a circuit for the busy indication of track sections (1, 2, 3, 4) electrically isolated from each other of a model railway system digitally controlled by a control center (Z). After a controlled digital receiver (E) of an engine determines its own address code with the help of a decoding device, it provides a busy signal via a signal generator (8) to the assigned busy indicator (BM3). To simplify the circuit considerably and to be able to do without the the RF-signal generators so far used in the engine and corresponding RF-receivers of the busy indicator, the signal generator of each engine (A, B) comprises a d.c. source providing a busy signal of a given polarity corresponding to the engine direction on the track as the busy signal to the busy indicator (BM3). Each busy indicator (BM3) comprises a direct voltage comparator (20) which can measure the busy signal received in zero-volt measurement gaps of the control signal and thus makes it possible to assign the engine designation to a given track section as well as the position of the engine on the track.

The actuating mechanism includes at least two resiliently deflectable elements that are connected at respective first and second ends so that by urging the first ends toward the second ends the deflectable elements deflect and the middle portion of each element moves away from the middle portion of the other element. The first end of one of at least two tendons is attached to the middle portion of a deflectable element and the first end of the other tendon is attached to the middle portion of the other deflectable element so that a portion of each tendon including the second end extends beyond the opposing deflectable element and when the elements are deflected they pull the first and second tendons past one another and urge the second ends of the tendons toward the deflectable elements.

摘要： A toy cog wheel railway is provided having a track with smooth driving faces and a center cogging member with two opposed vertically extending racks thereon. The associated train has an engine with a driven chassis and further cars with undriven running chassis. The chassis contain wheels with smooth faces to run on the driving faces of the track. The undersides of the chassis are provided with opposed guide members that contact the opposed sides of the cogging member. The driven chassis is provided with a motor whose drive axis is vertical with respect to the driving faces of the track and is offset with respect to the center line between the guide members so that a cogwheel attached to the drive axle engages only one of the racks. The chassis are further provided with coupling arm including a yoke having two deflected arms which are pivotally mounted to the chassis at a height approximate that of the drive motor cogwheel and the guide members, respectively, and in the longitudinal direction approximate that of a vertical plane containing the center of gravity of the respective chassis.

A body receiving and dispensing support is provided which, when the toy vehicle chassis passes through carrying a removable body, lifts the body off the chassis and stores it in an overhead position and then enables the chassis to receive another previously stored overhead body and continue with this body thereon. If the direction of the vehicle chassis is reversed and again passed through the body receiving and dispensing support, the two bodies will again be interchanged on the chassis and such interchange of the two bodies will occur each time the toy vehicle chassis is reversed and passed through the body receiving and dispensing support.
