摘要: A bicycle having a rear wheel including an axle, a hub shell, a torque element including a torque output portion and a torque input portion, and a rear cog coupled to the torque input portion. The torque output portion is a first radial distance from the torque input portion. The position sensor measures a rotational position of the torque input portion relative to the torque output portion. In one embodiment, the position sensor includes a displacement indicator (e.g., a radial tab mounted to the torque output portion) and a displacement sensor (e.g., an inductive sensor mounted to the torque input portion). The inductive sensor preferably has two sensing coils positioned on each side of the displacement indicator. The hub assembly can further comprise a wireless transmitter adapted to transmit data from the position sensor. The hub shell preferably includes a window that facilitates data transmission from the wireless transmitter.

摘要: A magneto-elastically-based active force sensor, used with a tow coupling between a towed and a towing vehicle, which outputs a signal useful for determining forces acting on the coupling. The outputted force information may be provided by processor-enabled embedded software algorithms that take inputs from the force sensor and other sensors, may be used by one or more vehicle systems during operating of the vehicle, such as engine, braking, stability, safety, and informational systems. The force sensor includes directionally-sensitive magnetic field sensing elements inside the sensor, and shielding may be used around the sensors to reduce the influence of external magnetic fields on the sensing elements. The force sensor may be used with different tow coupling devices installed on different types of automobile cars and trucks.

摘要: A torque sensor includes: an annular deformation body; first and second displacement electrodes which cause displacement by elastic deformation of the annular deformation body; first and second fixed electrodes arranged at positions opposite the first and second displacement electrodes; and a detection circuit that outputs an electric signal indicating a torque based on a variation amount of capacitance values of first and second capacitive elements each of which is configured of the displacement electrode and the fixed electrode. The annular deformation body includes a high elastic portion and a low elastic portion having a spring constant smaller than a spring constant of the high elastic portion. The detection circuit determines whether the torque sensor functions normally based on a ratio between first and second electric signals.

摘要: A magnetostrictive torque sensor is provided that is capable of maintaining high detection accuracy, even when an excessive torque acts on a rotary shaft. The magnetostrictive torque sensor includes a magnetostrictive film 71 that is arranged on a second steering shaft 23, or a rotary shaft, having a substantially columnar shape so as to surround the second steering shaft 23 around its axis, and detects a rotational torque about the axis acting on the second steering shaft 23 based on a change in a magnetic property of the magnetostrictive film 71. Compressive stress remains on an outer circumferential surface of a sensor region 77 of the second steering shaft 23 around which the magnetostrictive film 71 is arranged. A plated layer of the magnetostrictive film 71 is arranged on the outer circumferential surface of the sensor region 77 in which compressive stress remains.

Magnetic sensors are disposed between first magnetism collection portions and second magnetism collection portions with a first holder and a second holder assembled to each other. A circuit board recessed portion of the second holder is provided with positioning protrusions that extend toward the first holder. A circuit board, on which the magnetic sensors are mounted, is provided with through holes. The magnetic sensors are integrally assembled to the second holder in advance with the positioning protrusions inserted through the through holes.
