    摘要： A document copy system includes a preview sensor that is dedicated to document previewing and distinct from any other sensor that is involved in the document copying process. The preview sensor is preferably a two-dimensional sensor array that captures the outline of an entire document in parallel. The captured document outline is previewed on a display device relative to an actual print area that is defined by the copy system. In an enhanced embodiment of the copy system, the preview sensor captures an image that is printed on the document in addition to the outline of the document, so that the image of the document is also previewed relative to the print area. Providing a dedicated preview sensor that captures document position and image data in parallel enables real-time display of a document relative to the print area.

A rotary cam is arranged so as to be rotated in one direction by the motor and has cam surfaces assigned on a periphery thereof corresponding to a plurality of magnification steps. A cam drive unit is arranged for transmitting a rotary force from the motor to the cam. An optical system is movable between positions corresponding to the magnification steps. A transmission system is arranged for transmitting a rotary force of the cam to the optical system to change the positions of the optical system sequentially.

    摘要： A three-group lens barrel for zooming in a photo-copier in which the barrel is movable and fixes a middle lens group. The front and rear lens group are slidable in the barrel. The front and rear lens groups are connected to ends of two link levers. The link levers are swung together or apart by a common pin connection to a swing lever which has at one end a cam follower following a cam groove in the photo-copier. The common pin may be eccentric to finely adjust the lens separation.
