Abstract:
Disclosed are methods of executing a handover related operation in a power saving mode in accordance with handover triggering information. One of the methods of executing handover of a mobile station in a mobile communication system comprises determining an enabled status of at least one handover related operation in a specific operation mode between the mobile station (MS) and a network, receiving control information related to the at least one handover related operation from the net work, entering the specific operation mode, changing the enabled status of the at least one handover related operation in the specific operation mode, and performing the enabled handover related operation in accordance with the changed enabled status and the control information.
Abstract:
A method for detecting signals based on despreading and a signal transmitting method for the same are disclosed. Signals are spread according to the size of at least one spreading band, which is determined in consideration of a correlation degree of a frequency band in a communication system. A reception side which receives the signals detects the signals after despreading with respect to signals which are spread in a frequency band having a correlation degree equal to or greater than a predetermined level as a spreading band, among the reception signals. Thus, the dimension of the detected signals can be decreased.
Abstract:
A method for efficiently transmitting downlink control information is described. A method for transmitting control information in a multiple antenna system which can simultaneously transmit a maximum of two codewords includes transmitting modulation and coding scheme (MCS) information, a new data indicator (NDI) and a redundancy version (RV) for information blocks transmitted through the two codewords, and transmitting additional control information including at least one of a swapping indicator and enable/disable information. The swapping indicator indicates whether or not swapping occurs between the information blocks transmitted through the two codewords, and the enable/disable information indicates whether or not any one of transmissions through the two codewords is disabled. The swapping indicator is reserved when any one of transmissions through the two codewords is disabled, thereby reducing signaling overhead and efficiently transmitting necessary information.
Abstract:
A method for transmitting feedback information in a codebook-based multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) system is disclosed. To transmit the feedback information, a signal is received to discern channel characteristics of the received signal, and a codebook is updated using an extended matrix including a plurality of vector components and using previous feedback information. Feedback information is selected for transmission from the updated codebook in consideration of the channel characteristics of the received signal.
Abstract:
A method for transmitting data by using hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) includes allocating a radio resource for a non-acknowledgment (NACK) channel which is used to transmit a NACK signal for multi-user data of a plurality of UEs, transmitting the multi-user data, and retransmitting the multi-user data when receiving the NACK signal on the NACK channel from at least one UE which receives the multi-user data.
Abstract:
A method for transmitting a codeword through a subchannel consisting of a plurality of tiles in a wireless communication system in which one tile comprises a plurality of data subcarriers and at least one pilot subcarrier is provided. The method includes generating a codeword by assigning pilot symbols to the at least one pilot subcarrier in each tile, by assigning a first codeword symbol to some of the plurality of data subcarriers, and by assigning a second codeword symbol to the remaining data subcarriers, the codeword corresponding to the plurality of tiles, and transmitting the codeword. Resources on a frequency-time axis can be effectively used for transmitting various data or control information.
Abstract:
A method for transmitting control information includes receiving a control information request, transmitting primary control information responding the control information request through a primary control channel and transmitting secondary control information responding the control information request through a secondary control channel, wherein the primary control channel uses data subcarriers and the secondary control channel uses pilot subcarriers.
Abstract:
A method for generating a codeword that is insensitive to variations of a channel and easily extensible is provided. The method includes obtaining a primary unit by taking a row vector from an N(E(N−1) simplex code and mapping a control signal to the codeword. The simplex code is obtained by removing a first row from an N(ENorthogonal matrix. The codeword is obtained by combining a plurality of primary units.
Abstract:
An efficient link adaptive scheme according to a channel status in a broadband wireless communication system is disclosed. In applying an adaptive modulation and coding (AMC) scheme, modulation and coding selection (MCS) subsets are determined from all or part of MCS set in accordance with a service type or channel status, whereby feedback overhead is reduced and efficient link adaptation is performed in conjunction with a downlink power control scheme.
Abstract:
A method of transmitting a codebook index in a wireless communication system includes receiving a feedback index regarding an entity selected from a plurality of entities belonging to a feedback codebook, selecting a precoder from a precoding codebook using the feedback index, the precoding codebook comprising a plurality of precoders and transmitting a precoder index of the selected precoder. Flexibility can be given to codebook designs, and overhead due to the feedback of codebook indices can be reduced.
