    Abstract: A foldable display device is disclosed that includes a flexible display panel, an optical module, and a deterioration compensator. The flexible display panel includes a folding line, a first display area disposed on a first side of the folding line, and a second display area disposed on a second side of the folding line to display a test image. The optical module is disposed in the first display area and is configured to sense a display luminance of the test image. The deterioration compensator is configured to perform a deterioration compensating operation of the display luminance by a luminance compensation value when the display luminance is less than a target luminance, without performing the deterioration compensating operation when the display luminance is greater than the target luminance.

Each of the first sensor electrode and the second sensor electrode may include a mesh pattern. The mesh pattern includes a first layer, a second layer, a third layer, and a protective pattern covering the side surface of the second layer. The tip part of the third layer and an outer surface of the protective pattern have an undercut form in a cross-sectional view.
