Abstract: Concepts and technologies directed to screening streaming content with locked application programming interfaces are disclosed herein. Embodiments can include a system that is configured to perform operations that can include detecting a content stream directed to a media application on a user equipment, where audiovisual content of the content stream is presented on a display. The operations can include determining that an application programming interface corresponding to the media application is locked such that the audiovisual content from the content stream is not accessible via the application programming interface; accessing the audiovisual content that is being presented on the display without accessing the application programming interface corresponding to the media application; and scraping the audiovisual content from the display for a time period, wherein the scraping creates scraped audiovisual content corresponding to the audiovisual content that was presented on the display during the time period.

Abstract: Methods, computer-readable media, and apparatuses for adjusting at least one network-controllable physical resource in response to detecting that a network-connected vehicle comprises a potential hazard to an animate being with a registered safety need are disclosed. In one example, a processing system including at least one processor may identify a network-connected vehicle and a animate being with a registered safety need, detect that the network-connected vehicle poses a potential hazard to the animate being with the registered safety need, transmit a first warning to the network-connected vehicle of the potential hazard, and adjust at least one network-controllable physical resource in response to the detecting that the network-connected vehicle poses the potential hazard to the animate being with the registered safety need.

Abstract: Aspects of the subject disclosure may include, for example, a system and method for selecting media content for a group of persons located at a venue. The system and method identify a plurality of viewers in a vicinity of a venue that has one or more display devices from location data and extracts a content viewing preference of each viewer from their profile data. The process includes aggregating the content viewing preference of each of the plurality of viewers to generate an aggregated content profile. Based on the aggregated content profile, a list of content is generated. Next, a first group of viewers approaching a viewing range of a display device are sensed by imaging data. Any conflicts between content viewing preferences of the first group of viewers are detected and resolved based on weighting the viewing preferences of the group. Other embodiments are disclosed.

Abstract: Concepts and technologies directed to network aggregation of streaming data interactions from distinct user interfaces are disclosed herein. Embodiments can include a network server that includes a processor and a memory that has computer-executable instructions. Upon execution, the processor can cause the network server to perform operations. The operations can include retrieving a content package from a content data store. The operations also can include splicing video content of the content package into a plurality of content segments and assigning a boundary time marker to each of the plurality of content segments. The operations can include creating a segment overlay field for each of the plurality of content segments, where each segment overlay field can be configured to receive a client generated metric corresponding to the boundary time marker for each of the content segments. The operations can include providing the content package to a plurality of user equipment.

Abstract: Devices, computer-readable media, and methods for detecting a deviation from a workflow associated with a physical item. For example, a method may include a processing system having at least one processor for capturing a plurality of images of at least one physical item during a performance of a workflow comprising a plurality of tasks relating to the at least one physical item, tracking a progression of the performance of the workflow, and detecting, from at least a first image of the plurality of images, a deviation from the workflow. The processing system may then present a notification of the deviation from the workflow and confirm an action in response to the notification.

Abstract: Disclosed herein are systems, methods, and computer readable-media for temporally adaptive media playback. The method for adaptive media playback includes estimating or determining an amount of time between a first event and a second event, selecting media content to fill the estimated amount of time between the first event and the second event, and playing the selected media content possibly at a reasonably different speed to fit the time interval. One embodiment includes events that are destination-based or temporal-based. Another embodiment includes adding, removing, speeding up, or slowing down selected media content in order to fit the estimated amount of time between the first event and the second event or to modify the selected media content to adjust to an updated estimated amount of time. Another embodiment bases selected media content on a user or group profile.

Abstract: A method includes receiving, by a device, a first image of a scene and a second image of at least a portion of the scene. The method includes identifying a first plurality of features from the first image and comparing the first plurality of features to a second plurality of features from the second image to identify a common feature. The method includes determining a particular subset of pixels that corresponds to the common feature, the particular subset of pixels corresponding to a first subset of pixels of the first image and a second subset of pixels of the second image. The method also includes generating a first image quality estimate of the first image based on a comparison of a first degree of variation within the first subset of pixels and a second degree of variation within the second subset of pixels.
