    Abstract: Techniques, devices and systems are disclosed for generating a resource request poll comprising at least one response criteria, transmitting the resource request poll, receiving a resource request report from STAs that meet at least one response criteria. A trigger frame may be transmitted to the at least one STA based on the resource request report from the at least one STA. The response criteria may include at least one of a NFRP, a UL access type, a delay bound, an NDP feedback report AC, a number of indicated AID bits, an AID range, an information requested, a number of bits to be included in NDP feedback report or preamble, number of LTFs to be included in the NDP feedback report or preamble, and a number of bits to be included in NDP feedback report or preamble per LTF or per N LTF symbol.

    Abstract: Systems, methods, and instrumentalities are disclosed for adaptation of multiple input multiple output (MIMO) mode in mmW Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN) systems. A first station (STA) may receive a mode change request from a second STA. The mode change request may indicate a mode change for a MIMO mode, a polarization mode, and/or an orthogonal frequency-division multiple access (OFDMA) mode. The mode change request may include one or more STA fields. The one or more STA fields may include a STA field associated with the first STA. Each of the one or more STA fields may include a MIMO mode subfield, a polarization mode subfield, and/or an OFDMA mode subfield. The first STA may change the MIMO mode, the polarization mode, and/or the OFDMA mode, for example, based on the mode change request. The first STA may send a mode change response to the second STA.

    Abstract: Device, systems, and/or techniques for using sub-channel signaling information between an access point and a first station are disclosed. An uplink trigger sent from the access point to the first station may be received. A map may be transmitted from the first station indicating at least one sub-channel that is available for spatial sharing by a second station. The first station may receive an acknowledgement from the access point that data was transmitted from the second station on the at least one sub-channel and/or received by the at least one access point. An OFDMA transmission having a sub-channel/sub-band available for transmitting data may be determined. An energy in the sub-channel/sub-band may be measured and/or compared to a dynamic and/or static threshold. Whether a sub-channel/sub-band is free or busy may be determined for example based on if the measured energy is, or is not, greater than the threshold.

    Abstract: Methods and an apparatus are disclosed for orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) and/or single carrier (SC) based multiple input multiple output (MIMO) hybrid beamforming (HBF) including determining the capabilities of a station (STA) such as the capability for hybrid beamforming, single user MIMO (SU-MIMO), and multi user MIMO (MU-MIMO). An announcement frame with a control trailer may be transmitted to signal a transmission configuration. The announcement frame may be a grant frame or a request to send (RTS) frame if the STA is SU-MIMO capable or a RTS frame or a DMG clear to send (CTS)-self frame if the STA is MU-MIMO capable. One or more directional multi-gigabit (DMG) antennas may be configured based on the announcement frame. One or more sounding symbols may be transmitted and feedback may be provided based on the sounding symbols. An HBF signal may be transmitted based on the sounding symbol(s) and/or feedback.
