摘要: An automatic focus adjusting apparatus for automatically adjusting a focus condition of an objective lens, the automatic focus adjusting apparatus repetitively effecting focus detection, in-focus judgement, and lens driving. If the lens cannot be regarded as being in focus as a result of a standard focus detection, then on the one hand, when the deviation from the in-focus point is small, lens driving is effected and in-focus is judged to quickly arrive at a judgement of in-focus, and on the other hand, when the deviation from the in-focus point is large, a judgment of in-focus based on the deviation from the in-focus point being small is inhibited to thereby enable the lens to be fully driven and a standard in-focus judging operation to be accomplished.

摘要: A camera system including interchangeable lenses each having a switch to control many functions provided to the camera system. By simply operating one lens switch, the working mode of auto-focusing (AF) functions of the camera system can be changed: single-spot AF/multi-spot AF modes, one-short AF/continuous AF modes, and focus-locing/non-locking modes. When used with an IC card also attached to the camera body, the lens switch can further control the functions of the camera system added or selected by the IC card.

摘要: An automatic focusing divice for a camera is disclosed. The automatic focusing device has sensing means for sensing light intensity distributions within narrow and wide areas of a field of view of an objective lens, respectively and can be operated in either operation mode of one-shot AF mode and continuous AF mode. When the one-shot AF mode is designated, said narrow area which is narrower than said wide area is automatically selected for focus condition detection and, when the continuous AF mode is designated, said wide area is automatically selected.

摘要: A focus detecting device capable of correcting an error, between an in-focus position of a photographic lens detected by a focus detecting means and an image field position affording the best image. Focus detection is made using plural focus detecting areas provided on and off the optical axis of the photographic lens, to obtain an in-focus position. Then, the thus-obtained in-focus position of the photographic lens is corrected using an appropriate correction value out of those preset and stored in a ROM in the lens according to whether the focus detecting area used in the focus detection is an axial or off-axial area, or according to the focal length of the photographic lens as well as the photographing mode. And the photographic lens is thereby set to the best image field position.

摘要: A focus condition detecting device which generated first and second light intensity distribution signals representing light intensity distributions on first and second arrays arranged to receive lights having passed through different areas of the exit pupil of an objective lens is arranged so as to divide the first light intensity distribution signal into a plurality of blocks. Each of the portions of the first light intensity distribution signal belonging to the respective blocks is shifted relative to the second light intensity distribution signal by sequentially changing an amount of shift, so that correlations therebetween are calculated for finding the amount of shift providing the highest correlation. In accordance with the amount of shift found to provide the highest correlation through the correlation calculation with use of the portion of the first light intensity distribution signal belonging to one of the blocks, the shift range for the succeeding correlation calculation with use of the portion of the first light intensity distribution signal belonging to another one of the blocks is restricted to shorten the period of time required for the succeeding correlation calculation.

摘要: Present invention relates to a phase difference detection type focus detecting device which includes a pair of image forming lenses and a photo sensor array and detects the focus deviation in accordance with the positions of a pair of formed images respectively formed on the photo sensor array by the pair of image forming lenses. In such focus detecting device, the pair of image forming lenses are integrally molded of a plastic material, such that the change of the distance between the pair of image forming lenses due to the temperature change causes the error of the focus deviation. The error is made to zero by the detection of the ambient temperature and the compensation of the data basing on expansion or contraction of the plastic material with temperature.

摘要: A focus detecting device includes an image sensor such as a CCD which converts the intensity of the light indicent thereon into the amount of a charge, integrates or accumulates the charge, terminates the integration operation when the level of the integrated charge reaches a given value or when a given integration limit time has lapsed, and outputs the integrated charge as an image signal which in turn is amplified step-by-step in accordance with the brightness of the object for the focus condition detection. Two different integration limit times are provided such that the integration operation is terminated at the shorter time while the focus detection is possible within the shorter time. The integration operation is terminated at the longer integration limit time when the focus detection is impossible with the shorter time and with the image signal given by the integration for the shorter time.
