Abstract: A developing cartridge includes a coupling member provided adjacent to a first end of a casing. The coupling member is operatively connected to a developing roller, and the coupling member is rotatable about a rotational axis thereof. The coupling member includes (i) a cylindrical portion, (ii) a first projection at least partially positioned inside of the cylindrical portion, (iii) a second projection at least partially positioned inside of the cylindrical portion, (iv) an elastically movable projection at least partially positioned inside of the cylindrical portion, and (v) a wall extending in a direction perpendicular to the rotational axis and positioned between a second end of the casing and the first and second projections.

Abstract: The invention achieves uniform image quality for every transfer regardless of a moisture content on a surface of a paper sheet when a plurality of transfer processes is to be made on a single paper. A copier (1A) is provided with a optical sensor (20) which includes at least one light source, illuminates a paper sheet (P) with light, receives the light reflected from the paper sheet (P), and measures the received light intensity. Before each of a plurality of transfer processes, the copier (1A) calculates a moisture content on a surface of the paper sheet (P) from the light intensity measured by the optical sensor (20), and sets a transfer condition of a transfer device (15) based on the calculated moisture content on the surface of the paper sheet (P).

Abstract: A sealing material 1 includes a cylindrical sliding layer 2, an elastic integument layer 3, and a fastening fiber 4. The cylindrical sliding layer 2 includes an insertion hole 21 to permit slidable insertion of a bar-shaped body, and is composed of a material in which a fiber and an elastic material are integrated with each other. The elastic integument layer 3 is laminated on an outer peripheral surface 22 of the sliding layer 2. The fastening fiber 4 is continuously wound in a state of being uncontacted with the outer peripheral surface 22 of the sliding layer 2 over at least one convolution along a circumferential direction on the inside of the elastic integument layer 3 or an outer peripheral surface of the elastic integument layer 3. A sealing mechanism uses the sealing material 1.

Abstract: A toner is provided. The toner contains a polyester resin. The toner has a glass transition temperature (Tg1st) at first temperature rising of differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) of from 45° C. to 65° C. The toner includes a component insoluble in tetrahydrofuran (THF) having two glass transition temperatures (Tga1st and Tgb1st) at the first temperature rising of DSC, where Tga1st is in a range of −45° C. to 5° C. and Tgb1st is in a range of 45° C. to 70° C. The toner includes a component soluble in THF having a glass transition temperature (Tg2nd) at second temperature rising of DSC of from 40° C. to 65° C.

Examples of the polyphenol include a tannin, gallic acid, ellagic acid, pyrogallol, catechin, and chlorogenic acid.

Abstract: An electric apparatus according to an embodiment includes a plurality of connection devices connectable to a plurality of external power supplies; a battery; a charge circuit to charge the battery using electric power supplied from the external power supplies; a plurality of switch sections each connected between the connection devices and the charge circuit; a storage section to store therein a priority degree for supplying power to the battery for each power supply type of the external power supplies; and a controller to control power supply from the external power supplies to the charge circuit. The controller detects power supply types of the external power supplies connected to the connection devices, and compares priority degrees corresponding to the power supply types detected and switches off the switch sections of the connection devices that are connected to the external power supplies except an external power supply having a highest priority degree.
